Oh wow. Links to that OU band girl picture were plastered to facebook status lines pretty much within seconds of it being shown live on Fox... doesn't everyone love drama? and sports politics?? This season was quite a wild ride and I think I concur with Dynasty when I say that it was awesome to right there in the thick of it every Saturday (or Thursday).

Ouch, I wonder if he is going to take that lying down... I wouldn't put it beyond the red raiders to make this one a real nail-biter for us though. Expect a showdown in Lubbock. LHB will be there.

Cedar Park is a wild card this year, and in many ways I enjoy filling that role. After Westlake I think I can say that we are good, but not yet consistent. We have good potential this year and neither the preliminary nor the finals performances were up to par with what Cedar Park has done at football games and rehearsals. Additionally, our show will gain a new dimension when released from the UIL 8:00 limit. Now that my school sees that it can still be competitive with a more jovial show, I'm looking forward to seeing what this old UIL dog does with some new BOA tricks.

Woah, woah, woah guys. Hey, this is a TRUMPET shirt we are talking about here. We can't just be throwing names and instruments of NON-trumpet players on it, can we? Sure, a txbands "active members" shirt would be cool, but seriously guys... this is a Trumpet forum... ...seriously.

I'm all for the shirt, but if we put all of our names on it, the font might have to be too small to even be worth it. How many trumpets do we have here anyway? Don't get me wrong, any kind of shirt would be sweet. I just think it should focus on a design or phrase rathar than a bunch O' names.

On long bus trips I enjoy messing with my rubik's cube. (as you could probably guess from my avatar) My record is 59 seconds and I've yet to top it.

I think that they should make a whole new branch of judging at competitions for the drum major salute. That would be completely awesome!! Then the DMs would seriously go all out and we would see some really creative stuff.

I've tried switching from trumpet to euph before and I enjoyed it because, for me, the euph was so much easier to play. The hard part though was switching back to trumpet. In general I believe and have also heard from others that it is easier to switch from high brass to low brass. However, when you try to tighten up that embochure and switch from low brass to high, it takes much longer to get tone and range.

What? Marching season is over!!?? I don't know what to do with my life anymore...
