Round Rock will be going to GN next year.

They will be going to GN due to their success this year. I thought originally that they would not be going because of a Disney trip this coming spring and a trip to London in 24.

Round Rock got a lot of flak in the hornrank forums. I love CR's show.

I really loved WW's show. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Well now I'm kicking myself because I didn't buy finals tickets.

I was thinking the same thing before the competition yesterday. What if RR made finals after not making finals at Austin.

RR won in finals. Their show has really blossomed since BOA Austin.

I went over to dragon stadium yesterday to watch RR practice. Their new design team is from Carolina Crown who happened to be there last night. In my opinion they are going to substantially improve this season.

I did come across one video of Westwood from the Eastview vs WW fb game. There is music playing over the band so you can't hear the band but you can see the drill. You can't always control everything. Someone from Belton posted Round Rock at their last fb game,but that has since been removed.

I saw that. The good quality video was up for about 2 weeks then taken down. I was like when I saw it . RR doesn't post videos until the end of the season.

I saw Round Rock's show preview tonight. RR has taken the bull by the horns. They've had a complete change in their design team,working with people from Carolina Crown/Paramount winterguard/ Tarpon Springs. They have a new music arranger. I don't remember his name. I'm very excited for the potential of this show. It's called A Simple Gesture. They will use mime/gestures, though no particular story line. It looks to be a very theatrical production. Music from Pagliacci-Vesti La Giubba ( I could hum it for you if I'm wrong). Music from Cirque du Soleil and I'm not sure who else.

That is what I was thinking. Jude Boughton, RR's former CG director and show designer is working with them. I know he previously worked with Leander.

Round Rock is performing with Region 18. They're performing out of their regular region so they can attend Waco. It initially showed as tentative on their calendar.It no longer shows as tentative. That was changed just recently.

Round Rock's guard had been an open class guard for a few years. They're rebuilding and growing their guard and are currently A. I saw them in competition last Saturday. Their guard has grown quite a bit since the marching season, something which I've never seen them do before. I like the direction the new guard instructor is taking them.

Agreed. I wonder if RR's director ever addressed his concern about this judge to UIL?

Welp, I wonder if RR should detach their leg cape if they are ever faced with him as a judge again. To my knowledge in all the years RR has had these uniforms he's the only judge that has had a problem.

Round Rock does march their varsity sometimes at halftime. That usually will happen at their home games.

Area D 2012 a judge made the same comment about Round Rock's leg cape. I hope it wasn't the same judge. RR has had leg capes for 9 years. Maybe a judge like that shouldn't judge marching.

I agree. I know they've been going to GN every other year. I wonder if this result will change that. Maybe they need time to refocus. Do you happen to know who they used for their show design this year?

Ya, Round Rock's former cymbal tech works with Vista Ridge now. Round Rock use to do the cymbal lick.

I'm not mocking them. I do like the new uniforms although I miss the maroon waist cinch.
