2006 Phantom Regiment End o story. I think someone mentioned before that the Cavaliers show was more visual with a little music thrown in. I found Phantom's music to be thousands of times better, and the whole robot thing got repetitive throughout the show. I really wish Phantom had won this year.

Did anyone else realize that on the crossmen merchandise website, you can buy a replica of their uniform from this season for 300 bucks? I find that amusing... =p

me and our percussion director are fans of Phantom Regiment. There are quite a few SCV and Cavies fans, and pretty much everyone except the drumline doesn't like the Blue Devils. That's about it.

So I saw the judges sheets this morning and here's how the scoring worked. There were three music judges and one visual judge. The one visual judge was weighted the same as the three music judges combined. Steele *4th place overall* had all three of the music judges in their favor, but Clemens *3rd place overall* had the one visual judge in theirs. Because the visual judge had so much power, he singlehandedly overpowered the other three judges and Clemens got 3rd place, even though we had more judges with us ahead of them. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm being a sore loser because we came up behind clemens, it wouldn't have mattered who the band was, I still would have been upset. *done whining/ranting*

I tried to use two good ones, but they're inappropriate for a site of all ages... oh well... I give my current one a 10 =)

Yeah, we should've gotten third, but apparently Clemens' visual design was better than our music and technique... whatever...

we have a tutoring thing during lunch to help people who are currently failing so that they can march this year. It really does help, we've gone from 48 people failing last friday to only 20 this friday, and hopefully that number will drop even farther by the cut this coming friday.

Anyone else going? I'm looking forward to halftime =) who's gonna be home team?

I like BOA better... because UIL is a joke for the most part. If you can march in step and play with dynamics, you can get a superior rating. BOA is FAR more cutthroat, more intense, and a much more difficult scoring system. And focuses more on the show as a whole, not the individuals in the show.
