What an incredibly strange UIL year for 5A.

In prelims I know that there was a photographer in the way of one of Round Rock's soloists trying to get back into the show. The soloist ended up going out of bounds. Not sure if the same thing happened tonight.

It was a long day for RR... waking up at 4:30am and being ready to go at 5:50am, then coming back at 3:30pm to rehearse for a finals run that never happened. Round Rock has a great relationship with the Westlake Band and in no way did we miss their performance in the sake of missing their performance. Just needed to go home and get some sleep.

Round Rock's prelims performance was the best one of the season. Sure there were a few issues with intonation, but visually it was an incredibly strong run. In absolutely no way was it a "bad performance". See Anderson and Round Rock in prelims at BOA for incredibly emotional performances. That's all I'm going to say.

I wouldn't necessarily rely on the Vista Ridge competition results considering that Reagan came in 6th and Round Rock 5th...
