Agreed, although after seeing both performances Saturday i would have had Mansfield 16 and Legacy 17 or 18, but im no judge. Mansfield's show just seemed to pull the audience into the show more, and the resonating chords before they started were incredible in the dome. Legacy however sounded great through their show and didn't have any problems with the echo. Either way it was a close race and both bands did a great job. Congrats to Legacy, for a band that is only a few years old they are well on their way to becoming one of the elite bands that everyone talks about.

Will you be covering the Friday prelims as well as Saturday?

That can be said about pretty much every band that will be competing. Out of the Friday bands my top pick to make fiinals would have to be CTJ.

Most bands build their own props so they only have to worry about the cost of materials. Although, props to the Marcus parents, they did a great job on those ferris wheels

The top 14 bands, regardless of which day they perform in prelims, will advance to finals.

Often times drumline members start out in the PIT so i would say no its not where the untalented kids go, although it is the easiest section to be a part of.

So does Poteet or Dripping Springs win? I'm leaning towards Dripping Springs with Poteet close behind them. Regardless its going to be a great competition.

That's seems odd for a program that is that successful. I guess they want to keep their show a secret maybe? We'll find out Friday/Saturday.

It's important that they keep a consistent ruling on this sort of thing, if they don't then it would raise alot of controversy.

Im assuming by this they have not been to any competitions this year? I guess that would explain why nobody has heard anything about them this year.

No but you do need slower sections if for no reason other than to give the kids a chance to breathe. It also gets boring if its just fast and loud the whole show.

Im pulling for Centennial as an upset but its going to be hard to get past Dripping Springs and Cedar Park. 4A has gotten tough.

Announcements of finalists is at 4 and i believe the first band performs in finals at 7:15.

I think that Centennial is going to surprise alot of people and could possibly medal. They did beat Hebron and Haltom afterall, however it's going to be close no matter what happens.

I agree, there are really only 4 bands that have a shot at the top 4 spots as for the rest its all speculation and bias based on the school you represent, hence the bubble list.
