Incredible finals showing, with a few placement surprises in my opinion. Super bummed that Hendrickson didn't make finals, I loved their show this year. Obviously super proud of my alma mater winning prelims, tying the finals music caption with Marcus, and placing 3rd overall. So excited to see where the momentum takes the program in the upcoming years. LISD is the place to be! Congrats to Vista Ridge for making finals for the first time, it was definitely deserved! And of course Vandegrift and Cedar Park did not fail to put on an awesome show.

First let me state I know nothing about music or marching, but I love to look at the scoring results. I thought band competitions were silly until I found out there were stats! I just can't understand the scoring for my daughters band at San Antone BOA. We were ranked 6th highest in individual music but 28th as an ensemble. Visual was even worse 5th highest individual but 47th ensemble. How can we be so good on the field but so poor from the pressbox? Anyone have any ideas on how these scores make sense???? Thanks
