We used 3 mutes for our Holiday conert...3! In a 3rd band! He made us go and buy a cup and a harmon mute, but most of us had straight mutes already... Anyways, can anyone explain the difference btw the diff numbers and letters in mouthpeices? I know that they lay differently, but what does the size specify? On another note, does anyone know a good trumpet trio? I'm going shopping tomorrow...and I have no clue where to start! Our range isn't great...so nothing too hard is an option...

Extra points did you say? My friends and I decided a while back that in one of those scatter drills we should have people purposely backing into them...well, no, I'm not that mean...yet. It would stink to be a judge in that aspect.

Well, any break up has the possibility of being uncomfortable-but being forced to see each other that much might force you to work more peacefully...in order to accomplish anything...theoretically of course, as high school is in no way logical...

IMHO, it seems like w/in your band would be ideal, as these are the people that you know best...I know that during marching season, I really don't associate with those other...non-band...people! And in the section...why not?

Sorry guys, I called Ron a loooong time ago! I'm not particualrly fond of the actor though, which I suppose is what sets me out... In love with a fictional character=TOTAL geek! I thought that the movie was too bare with out the subplots...it could have been a little longer, to beef it up a bit, and still not rival LotR for length.

I don't remember exactly who he was talking to, but our head director said that one of the relatively-in-charge guys in BOA attended the SA super-regional and said that he sees now why Grand Nats is not in TX..."because only TX bands would make finals." While I don't put that much stock into it, it certainly had a lot of truth in it!
