  1. Is there any way Lonestar Drum Prediction can be added? I know it is different that usual, but it would be super cool!
  2. He is focusing on Broken Arrow. I think he is also doing stuff with William Mason.
  3. When I made that comment I was really trying to say that everyone who was there deserved to be there. I was a little shocked that the bottom seven were all from Area G, however, looking back it reflected my personal opinions too. Does that mean any of these programs are bad? Definitely definitely DEFINITELY not. They are all super strong programs! This reason I feel that O'Connor placed higher than the other Area G programs is because the have more fuel! They come down to Westlake and BOA San Antonio. Those other programs are destroying their area where as Sandra Day is additionally coming down and facing stronger bands. That is just my personal $0.02 on the situation. I really hope I didn't offend.
  4. I can do a thread with a lot of Semi's and Final's? I will be streaming it all Saturday, well, except when I am at Region orchestra.
  5. Okay, Cedar Ridge is stongly considering making the trip.
  6. I think James Bowie will be in the top four and is a dark horse for a medal. Fifth will more than likely be Tarpon. In my opinion 6-9 belongs to Ronald Reagan, Marian Catholic, Lawrence Central and William Mason.
  7. Tarpon will not be there. They have Rose Bowl. I bet PCEP will be there.
  8. Supposedly this year's Bell show was a sequel to last. Bell shows usually are dark but in different aspects . 2006 and 2007 were both dark and creepy. 2008 was "dark" but not as eerie and more fun. 2009 was a very light show but still had that LD Bell feeling and 2010 was homage to the soldiers. Yeah, Bell does basically all dark shows.
  9. We had the exact same finals predictions!
  10. Me too! Just not my cup of tea I suppose.
  11. 1. Marcus 2. James Bowie 3.The Woodlands 4. Duncanville 5. Hebron 6.Claudia Taylor Johnson 7. LD Bell 8. Westlake 9. Berkner 10. Coppell Then it is followed by Rowlett, Reagan and Plano East. I dunno though! Everyone was great. It is worth mentioning that I also didn't see the last block.
  12. Oh! That is why the weren't at the Austin Jamboree. Thanks for the clarification!
  13. I haven't been on IM much this season. I think they do? I have been on the BOA Forums a lot and it seems that the Texas representation is less than I anticipated.
  14. Round Rock is in RRISD with Cedar Ridge and three other schools. Anderson is in Austin ISD with Bowie, Westlake and a good five or six more.
  15. Would it be possible for us to get a prediction page for Grand Nats? At the very least for curiosity's sake. Even if I doesn't count for the contest it would be cool to get some perspective- I am washed out with a whole bunch of Indiannans perspective!
  16. My favorites have to be Westlake Berkner Marcus The Woodlands Flower Mound I am sure there is more I can't think of.
  17. I know Round Rock and Anderson both want to go next year.
  18. Technically Heroes actually has less parking spots than Kelly Reeves. Besides, we are trying to get further into Austin rather than two San Antonio regionals.
  19. I don't think it could logistically work at Gupton in any shape unless like no more than 25 bands showed up. It is certainly better than Connally... How could I have forgotten that?
  20. Sorry about my idiocy-- but what problems would arise?
  21. He is probably talking about parking and warm up space. The Kelly Reeve's Palace is my home stadium and it is a pain to get all of those bands there, nearly impossible. Furthermore, warm up would be awful, not even room for two warm ups; can't imagine in third warm up area. Lastly, the public parking is awful at home games. Sadly, this is likely the best stadium around. Burger is large but so exposed and noisy; you can hear anything outside of the stadium, even lot noise AND traffic. There is plenty of parking but I can't think of a good place for warm up since it so exposed. Plus it is old and a little run down. The Leander ISD Bible Stadium is beautiful and enormous. Seems like there can be some good places for warm up that are a reasonable distance but the parking situationd is bad bad bad; it is a nightmare. The Conally Stadium has no parking and is tiny Can anyone think of anymore suitable stadiums?
  22. I said the same thing a couple posts up. They sound so good. Top three ensemble music potential for sure.
  23. I can see where you are coming from in a lot of this-- Obviously my predictions are super not politically correct but do have reasons for this! Spring plays and marches well, but from what I have heard those tents will really hold them back. I have not seen anything from them and I just have troubles placing them! 13th last year? That makes it scary for me to put them in here when people are saying that they are possible weaker this year. Trust me though-- Area F threw me way off. It was SO close between them and The Woodlands- Woah. I can see them anywhere between 9th and 16th. Who knows really? Flower Mound show, man- so darn cute. Their GE score will be really high but I can't see their Music and Visual scores breaking top 7 or 8. Don't get me wrong-- they play great, but this year is stacked. I cannot see them missing finals- in consolation. Can someone get me a video of Plano East? I haven't seen it! I am giving them their rankings based solely off of their experience in BOA; always so close! I wish I could base it off of Area B but... what the heck. The results are too inconsistent for me to base any judgement off of. I didn't use them for PES, Bell or Flower Mound. They were just too odd. Like I said about that 8-11 section, who knows, in my opinion they are all very on par. I think that out of the four show either us, Cedar Ridge, or Round Rock has the most effect, Cedar Park probably marches the best and Vandegrift or Cedar Park probably sound the best. I could see these groups all being within two points of each other. I could also see them being like 8 points of each other; odd. Like you said about RR (don't know if you are talking about Reagan or Round Rock, both applicable) they could really be anywhere between 5 and 11. I just had to push my program up to the top of the pack in hopefulness. c: Ronald Reagan can REALLY play; I have said before- Denton must have been a shocker- Conroe's second was well deserved and they keep improving! I think the music is bland, personally and it isn't my favorite show but they perform it very well. I am very very excited for this weekend. Very nervous too~
  24. Finally I think I can make a fair assertion in general of what could happen this weekend. I think that first will go to The Woodlands, they are so good this year. Naturally, second should be Marcus- stronger than last year, could surge for first. Area D kind of showed me that Claudia Taylor Johnson might not be as strong as we think. I think that Hebron could come out for third if they cleaned the music well enough. CTJ just hasn't grown at the level I anticipated earlier this season. Next year though- I bet they will win it. Berkner- woah. Wow. Amazing. I think they can beat Bell this weekend and I think that them and Reagan have the best chances for the next spots. Berkner just has a great sound and the show has so much built in GE. It is very clean too. I bet they will be the biggest schoolers of the year. Reagan also will be a bit shocking- they almost beat CTJ at Area D! Cool stuff and they sound really good. 7th goes to LD Bell? Then again- they may just completely blow my mind- I wouldn't be surprised. Not a fan of the design effectwise and visualwise. I am going to call 8-11 the block of schools from Region 26. Cedar Park and Vandegrift have been quiet lately, eh? I think that Round Rock is going to push and probably end up eight or nine. Cedar Park will likely top Vandegrift and hopefully Cedar Ridge will fit in here too. High GE will hopefully go to Cedar Ridge out of this pack but music could go to either Cedar Park or Vandegrift. I think a couple of these school could pull themselves up into the top 7-- pushing Bell down? Flower Mound- fricking adorable. C-U-T-E. 12th seems low, but it is a hard year. Could end up beating a lot of the Region 26 if it gets cleaned. These 13th and 14th spots are CRAZY tough to get into. I say the strongest contenders are Richland, Anderson, Westlake and Spring. Westlake sounds great and their show has some MAJOR GE moments. That piccolo trumpet. Wooooowie. Scored a 20 at Area D to CTJs 19. The only reason they didn't beat CTJ was one music judge scored them low low low, like 8th place low. Anderson is fun and I would almost be shocked if they aren't in there. Some great guard stuff and GE. Simple drill... But is dirty though? They destroyed Richland at St. Louis but I still view them as almost equal after their Area results. I bet they will both push this week and fight for it. I don't even know about Spring... I hadn't heard much good but they were so close to The Woodlands, ummm what? I bet they will shock some people. I also wouldn't be surprised to see either Hendrickson, Legacy,Friendswood, Keller, Plano East or College Park in finals. Hey, Leander, Haltom, Churhill and Pflugerville are all strong too-- weirder things have happened. Ha, weirder things have happened this year! So, alas, my predictions! The Woodlands Marcus Hebron Claudia Taylor Johnson L.V. Berkner Ronald Reagan LD Bell Cedar Ridge Round Rock Cedar Park Vandegrift Flower Mound Westlake Anderson Spring Richland Friendswood Plano East Hendrickson Legacy Those last two spots. Wow... I think there is honestly 20 bands fighting for those 14 spots. 11 fighting for top 5 even? This may go down in the books as the hardest San Antonio ever.
