As a senior, I really am sad to ses Dripping Springs not make it to state. My band has competed with their band numerous times, and I loved the competition their school brought onto the table. Dawson vs. Dripping Springs...always envisioned it always hoping to see them at a contest. I hope all the students are proud of their hardwork cause after all that's what its about, performing a great show for thousands to see, and they definitely do that to a high level, regardless of placement. they should be filled with pride, at the upmost level, as they are just as good if not better than other bands. Just goes to show how difficult this area is, and how crazy state is going to be. I cannot wait to perform, and be able to represent not only my band, but the morals that all these great bands encompass Let the competition commence!

So far these are the bands advanving, don't know much about Area G, couldnt find the results. Going to a craaaaaaazy contest! Can't wait to compete Sorry if i missed any band! I wouldnt count dawson out of anything! the scores were quite close between them and friendswood, and with a week of cleaning for both of them, who knows! Area F shall dominate state!

yeah i am surprised no one mentioned college park until recently! they have a great show (though cheesy-ish kinda with the patriotic theme, nontheless it was great). and not to mention they recently placed 6th at BOA conroe. im not gonna lie, there are so plenty bands that could make finals here and it's going to be a toss up to who even wins. i think top 5 (random order) will be:Spring, Dawson, Leander, College Park, Friendswood/Brazoswood very excited to perform this saturday best of luck to all the bands!

i see i see well i actually wanted to know one thing, what was dripping springs scores? were they given all 1's? or was it varying as well. i'm just curious to see how they racked up against the others.

Frisco sounds so awesome...............their woodwinds are quite talented lol. they are going to pack a punch. all those are huge victories. vandy is going to do some damage, and dawson too, with how the area F results turned out with them in 1st. havent heard boswell yet.

It'll vary from contest to contest, you never know. Some bands could have a good performance somewhere, but not somewhere else!

Well, the results fell where they were! All the bands deserved the placement they got. Great job to CT Johnson though, they were great looking at the video. stand still? im pretty sure they had challenging drill. also considering they tied for best visual too.

Area D is going to be crazy........so many good bands. Dripping springs, vandy, CP, Lake Travis, Hendrickson, and much more. Going to be an intense battle for state.

Area competitions are coming up! Who do you think will make it to 4A state from each area?

I dont think it was theirs to lose, their ending was different but it did not impact them at all musically which is where they were lacking. They still won best GE and visual along with Oak Ridge. I don't think this at all was the reason why they lost in finals, their ending in finals was much more interesting in finals compared to prelims, even though it wasnt executed perfectly.
