Hurrah for the wonder UIL judging system.

There were almost 20 bands that have made state finals in the past, so this was an unbelievably tough year...

There is a website somewhere, I just don't remember where to find it. I'm pretty sure Vestige Video makes the DVD's, unless things have changed in the past year.

They do...but they aren't nearly as good.

I'm pretty sure the TCU marching band is performing after finals. They're a great band. Brian Youngblood is the director, same guy who writes the drill for countless top HS marching programs.

Was it Poteet HS that was announced wrong at UIL State last year?

I just saw (well, heard) Bell perform at their pizza fundraiser this evening, and I gotta say... This has to be perhaps one the best sounding LD Bell's I've heard in the last several years. That music...*chills*

Winston Churchill H.S. will be returing to GN this November Cedar Park 2004 is one of my favorites shows. Good, clean drill, and amazing music. That hit in Mars...blew me away. I personally had never seen any CP shows before 2004, but that show made me an instant fan.

I just wish they had a picture of them blowing the kiss afterwards. Hot.

I did some asking around and it was Plano HS that did the GELV show. I know this guy on the TCU drumline that went there and he used to talk about it a lot. Actually, people used to make fun of him for it...

I think it was one of the Plano schools that did the Godzilla Eats Las Vegas shows, although I'm not sure which one. Plano Central maybe? Anyways, our top band played that piece for our spring concert my junior year. I was suprised at how difficult it actually was. Nevertheless, it is an awesome piece, but what Whitacre piece isn't??

We constantly got new drill (and music) my junior year, mostly because it was a nationals year. We even got new drill the day of nationals while practicing at Carmel. The show was pretty much never marched the same way more than once. And last year we got new closer drill less than a week before the state competition...
