LordGiggles Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 For those native to our great state, you must have play Hold'em before. Probably the greatest card game of them all. I am a huge fan, and keep up with the World Poker Tour and the World Series. Anyway, if any of you play at Poker Stars, Full tilt Poker, and Party Poker let me now. I'm mainly on Poker Stars. This topic is open to all discussion hold'em whatsoever, may it be popular players or strategy. I'm hoping to make it on the World Series one day. Quote
Skippy Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 It is the most awesome version of poker around. I play sometimes with friends, but never got into it online or anything. Quote
Xenon Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I play at Poker Stars and normally play the $5+.50 SnGs and the $1-3 tournaments at night. I haven't had a chance to play lately though. Quote
LordGiggles Posted June 24, 2005 Author Posted June 24, 2005 Poker Stars is my favorite online play, particulary because the hands aren't as "rigged" as some of the other online games. It involves more strategy, it's like the "battle of the balls" except without all the excitement. In other news, the World Poker Tour Final Table is coming up soon, I'm very eager to see who will come out on top, though i missed the latest Tournament so I'm kind of behind. Quote
FutureForceReconMarineSniper Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Me and some friends from band used to play texas hold'em during lunch next to the cafeteria. Chris had a texas holdem set. so we would eat hen play. Charles would always get the most money. I would always bluff with the worst hand. I won only one hand that way. Quote

LordGiggles Posted June 29, 2005 Author Posted June 29, 2005 I'm not sure that "fad" is the best way to approach it, the World Series has been going on since 1970. Quote
Cornjob Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 i love Texas Hold'em. My bro an dme play it all the time. He plays it with his frat brothers at USC for $$$, but i'm not that good to play like that. Quote

LordGiggles Posted June 29, 2005 Author Posted June 29, 2005 World Poker Tour Final Table = Tonight, 8/7 Central on the Travel Channel. I want to be able to work my way into making some money on Omaha Hi-Low, but for now Hold'em is good enough. Quote
LordGiggles Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 YES!!! TUAN LE WON!! He was my pick to win. It was a tough call between him and Phil Ivey, but Ivey went out sixth. If Ivey get's better luck, it would be fair game between them. Quote

I kicked the CRAP out of my Grandpa at that game. Considering that was probably a pastime for him in the Navy in WWII and Korea, I must be better than my brother says! Watch your backs! Quote
