LordGiggles Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 We'll get right to it posting predictions. Thanks for the heads up though, im sure all the schools are getting ready to start their camps and really work up their shows for a good season. Quote
Clarinot Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I've got all the regionals entered in to predictions. The only thing is grand nationals: If bands don't actually get "places" at GN, how can we predict what places they'll get? Quote

Last year they ended up announcing the 12th place bands score by an accident! But they will infact be announcing placements Quote
manuel_pablo Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Where is the James Bowie that went to the Hoston regional from? Are they the ones going to San Antonio or the other James Bowie? Quote

They went to BOA Huntsville last year. The other James Bowie HS is from ARLINGTON, Texas. Quote
PrideOfPearland Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Lol I thought I'd add this- Pearland is going to the Houston regional i'm pretty sure- we just haven't turned in our papers yet...Oops. Quote
LordGiggles Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Im surprised Owasso isn't going to the Super Regional, they usually do quite well. Quote

baritone Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Im honestly not excited about the Houston Regional this year. Im extremely excited about the Arlington Regional. Now that regional is stacked... Quote
MarkRaymer Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Yeah it will be my last year for everything, looking forward to it. ( Deleted the other post, sorry ) Quote
RcAaLvPiHeIsE Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Arlington is going to be tough. ------------------------------------------------------------- Richland High School 2003 State Marching Champs Quote
rrhsquad06 Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Sounds like its gonna be a fun year...lots of great bands at all of these contests. We're going to Arlington and SA, as well as Nats, which never fails to be awesome, so I'm definately looking forward to it Quote
thedrumgod Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Looks like the Arlington Regional will definetly be loaded, and will for sure be exciting. Quote
cgr105 Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Arlington will definetly be a hard regional, but super regional at san antonio will be even tougher. There will be many good bands there, and a lot of hard work and sweat will be left out on the field. Quote
LordGiggles Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Yeah, i agree, though i've already made predictions, im waiting to see alot of what bands have worked up through early contests to determine how San Antonio will be. Alot of bands are trying new things though, and i'm eager to see what will be put out on the field this year. Quote
bariphonium Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Personally, I think you guys are gonna miss out on all the fun. La Joya is where it's at. [end sarcasm] Quote
Shadow Weaver Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 What's up with the trash talk surrounding the La Joya regional??? A weaker regional than most Texas regionals, yes. But, so what? That the regional is weaker than most Texas regionals doesn't make the bands that go to the regional bad (in Texas, bands are usually anything but). So, again, I want to ask, what's with the groans and trash talk surrounding the La Joya regional? Or are we a bit elitist when it comes to appreciation of the activity past the creme de creme? Quote
