whitewing09 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 we're going tomorrow =D hopefully we make sweepstakes cuz we have alil 6 yaer thing going on and our director has been putting us down that we're not gonna keep it going =| Quote
chickora Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Okay, all upper bands in front of us got straight ones.. However, my band got 122 on stage.. and straight 1's on sightreading. Now my excuse on our performance.... Well, first of all we went like 2nd, I believe, in our category. That doesn't give the judges time to develop standards. I am sure many people have been in our position. I prefer to go last or next to last.. One of the positions because the judges have a good idea on what a band deserves. I honestly with all my opinion..and in my eyes we got straight ones because I believe that was the best performance. I am so glad how well we did. It's amazing how far each band has gotten. I still remember when we couldn't even play the first 10 measures of Canarios.. Good times..This year will always be cherished. Quote

Keyboard_Countessa Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Concert II: 111 on stage, 123 for sightreading (a "rainbow," as our director called it ) Concert I: 111 on stage, 222 for sightreading. Symphonic: Ours isn't for another couple of weeks, but I have some concerns. We have to perform after Langhan Creek (just like last year, which was the first time we got a 2 in a while). Quote
