Xenon Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 The NBC affiliate in Dallas did a little short report on Marching Band season starting up, and they went out and took video of North Mequite practicing. Mostly they just showd box drills and fundamentals, but right at the end they showed the pit playing about 2 bars of music rreeeeallly sllloooowwww. So, from those 2 bars, it sounds like North Mesquite is playing Vesuvius. Quote
Fortisimo Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Like the Vesuvius by ummmmmm... what's his name.... ah right, Ticheli? Quote

erasure101 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I read somewhere that Cypress Falls is programming Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra as their field show with their musical book being written by Aaron Guidry. Does anyone know if this has changed since Frank Troyka left? Quote
mbui Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Show is the same and they are still going to Grand Nationals. Quote

erasure101 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Thanks guys! I have also learned The Woodlands show is titled "Hide and Seek." It is listed on their website, although no details are given. I am really looking forward to this year's competitive season. Should be very interesting! Quote

Xenon Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I really liked RPH when we did it in 1997. It's a really fun piece to play. Quote
