bluebellbrass07 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Not sure if anyone on here is keeping up with the news on E3 this year, or if anyone on here even plays games. I voted Nintendo. A lot of people were kinda skeptical about the Revolution (Wii) at first, but i think after seeing what it could do it actually surprised a lot of people. Quote
Xenon Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! I voted Nintendo because I'm really looking forward to the new console, and even more now after watching the E3 demos. I thought that Sony had the best conference, though, by far. Nintendo's was like Jeckyl and Hyde continually going between all the silliness and excitement and the bouncer looking guy doing most of the speaking. Quote
bluebellbrass07 Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 Wow, i was expecting N-Gage to get most of the voted here! Quote
mnkyman Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 i play more pc games ..but my little bro has a 360 ..its by far the best Quote
Lustra.exe Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 how is the 360 better than the regular one? and are you sure it's not just the games? or the "cool" design? please enlighten me. Quote
bluebellbrass07 Posted May 12, 2006 Author Posted May 12, 2006 QUOTE (sax5warrior @ May 11 2006, 09:07 PM) 360 pwns XD Caja X 360! While your waiting to play Halo 3 in 07 and any lesser games that come out until then, ill be playing the latest smash bros, and zelda, and mario, and metroid, and all the other innovative stuff nintendo comes up with. Sorry that sounds a bit harsh but thats how i feel about the 360. and check out this article on the ps3. "LOS ANGELES--It seems Sony might have surprised its developers with the announcement of a tilt-sensitive PlayStation 3 controller almost as much as it surprised gamers. In the latest installment of his Electronic Entertainment Expo blog, Seth Schiesel of The New York Times talks about the changing face of the event and his impressions of the lineups on display from Nintendo and Sony. Though it's buried near the bottom of the entry, the following excerpt from the article is sure to raise more than a few eyebrows: Set in a science-fiction war zone, Warhawk is the first game to make public use of Sony's own kinetic controller, which mimics the Wii device. Unfortunately for Sony, the admission by one of the Warhawk developers that his team got its hands on the new controller less than two weeks ago reinforced the impression that Sony only added motion-sensitive technology at the last minute in a hasty attempt to match Nintendo. Representatives from Sony didn't return requests for comment on the report." That made me laugh^ Quote

Xenon Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I am most likely going to be buying the Wii when it comes out and the PS3 after some of the third party games come out on it. The Wii has so many games that I absolutely have to have (Smash Bros, Mario, Metroid, whatever that Directing game is, etc.), the PS3 will have the Final Fantasy games which leaves me no choice but to buy it, but the only thing that the 360 has going for it is Halo 3 which doesn't come out for almost another year and I can do without it anyways. The 360 just doesn't have any games and it doesn't matter how powerful the hardware is or how early the console is available if it doesn't have any games. Quote
bariphonium Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I've heard that the PS3 is going to come in $500 and $600 packages, with the $600 having some extra features, more powerful hardware, etc. While Sony has insisted that the market will still be willing to pay this amount, I know I'm not. I saw Nintendo as a dying franchise (much as I love it) and expected for the Wii to take a sharp decline in favoritism (especially after the name-change), but with the PS3's price and the Wii's innovative controller, it looks like Nintendo will be having a good few years, at least until the next generation of consoles. bluebellbrass07 Posted May 12, 2006 Author Posted May 12, 2006 I am buying Wii the day it comes out, even if i must stand in line for 24+hours. PS3 i am buying only for MGS4. So im waiting for a price drop. Quote
MartinHorn Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 While Nintendo's lineup does look excellent and the controller, which I thought at first to be their downfall, now looks innovative and fun, I absolutely hate the name. I refuse to say Wii. Though the PS3 may be expensive their game line up looks awesome, especially MGS4(which shall frickin own) and other titles. I am excited for some of the 360's new games like Gears of War, and I've heard that there is a KOTOR in the works for the 360 also. I admit though, the first next gen I will buy will probably be the Wii *cringes* Quote
JediSaxSolis Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 The Wii owned. It's going to be in tough competition with Microsoft, and will definitely blow Sony out of the gaming industry Quote
itsstephenyo Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Geez, what's up with all the bumps of old topics? This is like the fourth or fifth one this week. Quote
JediSaxSolis Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 It's not a big deal if the topic has meaning. Quote
