mnkyman Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 officially 17 hours and 20 minutes until we get on the bus woo hooo now to pack where are yall going for spring trip? Quote
actualgirltrombone Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 negative about two weeks since we went to padre. yay USS Lexington except not. Quote
sax5warrior Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 7 days past since we got in the bus for Padre. That hypnosis show was awesome, Shillterbahn was alright. Doesnt hurt when your band wins 13 trophies and overall band and everyone staring at yall like fools. A very nice way to return home is to have 4 trophies sitting next to you. The hotels are crap, that is all...especially one thats called "Padre South Hotel"...*ahem* The island isnt what i expected it to be. The McDonalds is crappy and have VERY small "Big" Macs. The circle Ks dont have anything except your usual cokes and chips. The town is overall...dirty? I guess? Six Flags over Padre? nice Go-Kart place...very small. The water is gross...I love the beach though Quote
mnkyman Posted May 12, 2006 Author Posted May 12, 2006 we were suppose to stay at some condos..that we usually book..but they were taken..so we are at the holiday inn lol...weere gonna go to schiliterban , a cruise..and some other cool sounding places Quote
springbassliner26 Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 we aren't even going on a spring trip this year. supposedly we're saving money for next year's out-of-state trip. spring high south hasn't been spring high south since around 1975...old school Quote
Danpod Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Spring Trips were always fun. I was introduced to Ramen Noodle on my Senior Spring Trip and it changed my life. Quote
mbui Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 QUOTE (sax5warrior @ May 11 2006, 10:05 PM) The McDonalds is crappy and have VERY small "Big" Macs. Unfortunately, all McDonald's make their Big Mac's like that now. I just call them Small Mac. I can down the entire thing in less than five bites. I have to order an extra sandwich in order to feel full. Quote
Danpod Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Mike's just bitter because they don't serve Asian people at his local McDonald's Quote

Keyboard_Countessa Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 We went to Dallas last month... the same place we went my sophomore year. Activities for the weekend included going to a mall arcade for a "Survivor-like game/leadership seminar" (which was lame), shopping in the rest of the mall ( ), eating at Medieval Times and spending half an afternoon at Six Flags. Quote
bored2damax Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 That is alot better than ours. We went to Dallas last month and we played for Metrofest competition were all the other bands are middle school bands. So we got outstanding band and straight ones. We went to this spaghetti place and saw the dalls orchestra after that. but before all this we went to the mall. Yup thay was our spring trip. We were suppose to go to Disneyworld but our school district is not letting anyone compete to any out-of-state competitions except the cheerleaders. So yeah. that was about our trip right there. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 We already had our SPI band trip... it was crappy, lol. I would or rather just gone to 6 flags or Schlitterbahn like the past years. Quote
supermanuel Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 our spring trip was about tao weeks agon, and it wasn't bad we stayed in San Marcos and went to San Antonio and Austin in San Antoio, we played a concert at U.T.S.A. and had a ocuple clinics, odly enough no one showed up except a couple of alumni (weird, huh?? ate at the magice time machine, the next day we hit up Sea World and saw the penguins (and the puffins) and at e at the Old San Francisco Stake House. next day we went to Austin and toured the Capital museum, went saw an IMAX, went to a mall and then went ice skating. (a friend of mine busted his lip open and had to get stitches. i also took a kid out while we were playing tag. i was skatting full speed towards some one and after i tagged them i tried to turn and ended up slidding [like a baseball player] into some other guys feet. good times)next day we hit up Schlitterbahn and then came home. quite the eventful weekend Quote

We were overall best band, best in class (4A) and I don't remember what else at DC Festivals last year (San Antonio), but all the other bands were jealous. It was awesome!! It was also awesome to be one of the outstanding performers from my school (there were 4 of us??) Quote
whitewing09 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 It is soo not fair. our band used to go to Dallas and Houston for trips in Charters and this year we went to fiesta texas. soooo not fair i been there like 23085953times. and we got regular buses gosh. i went today =D it wasnt bad i just wish i had a charter to Dallas Quote
