LordGiggles Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Alright, so here's the deal, its about right after half time and tim duncan got down. Now, it's still not to late to pick a favorite, its 39-39. Even though probably most people won't read this till it's too late, who do you want to win? I'm all for the spurs. Quote
Dynasty Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Spurs. I don't like basketball, but since they are from Texas, it seems appropiate. Quote
LordGiggles Posted June 24, 2005 Author Posted June 24, 2005 Yeah, great performance by Duncan and Ginobili tonight, and Horry in Game 5, all very good players. Quote
thedrumgod Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Definitelypleased with the outcome of the game last night. Duncan was awesome last night. Quote
MarkRaymer Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 duncan was awasome last night AFTER the second half, in the first half he didn't really seem into the game, but what do you except he's was getting defending by ben and resheed wallace.. as some of you guys know ben wallace was defense player of the year this year so of course he wouldn't make all the shots he usually does. Then the second half starts and resheed wallace got in foul trouble so he had to sit on the bench, thats when duncan start making all the shots and finally we got to see the way the spurs play as a team. In the 4th quarter there were two key moments that gave the spurs the victory: 1- ginobili two dunks which got the crowd at the SBC center into the game and the second was bowen's block on billups. If billups made that 3 it only would be a 3 point game with about 30 seconds left in the game, the pistons would have a chance to win the game. ..but thats my opinon Quote
LordGiggles Posted June 24, 2005 Author Posted June 24, 2005 I agree, it was tough the first half since they were trailing. But after half time, Spurs took the lead because they were patient, and put their team work to great advantages, and saw any oppurtunities they had and went for them. At that time, Pistons lost alot of what they had, and when Wallace got benched the Pistons kind of just started trailing, and tried anything to take the lead, but the Spurs solid defence and teamwork really made it happen. It was great to see such success after a deadly Games 3, 4, and 6, where the spurs were crushed brutally, and the inspiring Game 5 which kept them alive like the lone star in the darkness of space.
