euro_euph06 Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 In your opinion, who is the best band to never win a UIL 5A State Championship or BOA Regional in Texas (sorry...we all know about Nats) within the past five years? Let the discussion begin. Quote
actualgirltrombone Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 For all us ignoramuses out there (or just me) can you post a list of who all has won the aforementioned competitions? Quote

LD Bell was second by a .25 margin. Quote
Danpod Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 The Woodlands because they have been quite consistent at BOA Regionals (With a few caption awards in Prelims and Finals) and UIL State. I'd definitely put Haltom in a close second. Quote
Fortisimo Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I've never been a big fan of Haltom... I dunno why really, I just never have seen them perform and think 'Wow, that was pretty awesome'. Quote

mnkyman Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 are u kidding me haltom is crazy cool there show last year with the dance break and all had me on my feet i think 1. woodlands and 2. haltom sounds like a good line-up Quote
mbui Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I'm going to agree with what was said earlier.... The Woodlands Although, they've placed second a couple of times. 2001 BOA Houston: 2nd Place 2004 BOA Hunstville: 2nd Place In my opinion, their drill design has always held them back. The music/visual performance and colorguard were all there. They just needed that extra "umph" to push them over the top. Hopefully their new drill designer for the 2006 season will help them out with that. Quote
lsu4ever1515 Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 i am from the woodlands high school and our new drill designer from what i hear is amazing. he works with blast so our show for the 2006 season is way ahead of sehedule.I think this is our year to prove ourselves. Quote
