There is now a French lawyer who, on the behalf of several unnamed teams, is demanding that the final be replayed. Here is the article.

also, yes, zidane deserved a straight red. u can't just headbutt somebody. however, preliminary reports have said that apparently materazzi made racial comments towards zidane's algerian background. something along the lines of "terrorist" or "go back to your real country." heck, if someone told me to return to my country, i'd freakin hit them as well. though, i dont think i'd choose my head to do that.

haha how biased. a french lawyer asking a french court to overturn a loss for France. if anything they should ask a third party court... say the U. S. or something. haha but seriously, asking a french court to decide on that is as good as asking an italian court to decide it. you already know the ruling before they even go to trial.

The article does not specify to whom he would bring his case; it simply states that he would try to get the result overturned. More than likely, he would have to do some complicate crap with FIFA and other coutries and more political junk like that that goes on outside of France before anything happens.
