It would be really interesting to compare these scores and ranks with finals at the end of the season. While keeping in mind that a few corps haven't been officially judged yet. I remember during last season towards the end of July when Cadets and Cavies traded first and second. I guess a lot can change througout the season, but this is basically it. I mean, it's definitley going to be interesting to see what happens, but this is pretty much what it will look like come finals night.

I disagree. I have a strong feeling that BD will soon be in the lead. Im also hoping SCV moves up a bit, and Phantom had better pass up bluecoats.

Just for the record, West Coast scores are usually higher until west/mid/east corps meet up. From what I read (and heard) The Cadets are going to be hard to beat this year... I'm going to quote something George Dixon (a general naysayer of the cadets/changing drum corps,) said about The Cadets from Gettysburg.

  Quote
Just got back from Gettysburg and all I have to say is:

CADETS ARE THE BOMB!

The show rocks - the hornline is off the hook and the drumline is so good I think it must be July - the guard already has wow moments in the ballad and the opener.

The whole thing reeks of "catch us if you can" - and after following this activity for 30 years I can honestly say I have NEVER seen a battery at that level in June.

I believe the drumline is unstoppable - I don't see anyone catching that line this year.

The brass is better than last year, the drill is better than last year (much more wide open), the guard is ahead of this point last year.

I would not be shocked if they go undefeated.

I was BLOWN away - literally.

Lots of drum corps vets in the stands slack-jawed and shaking their heads at the performance level and potential greatness of Cadets 2006.

I have NEVER seen anything like it in June...

I don't think it's safe to say any accusations about who's going to win until the first major regional.

until then, I'm hoping Phantom getting beat by Bluecoats is not a trend (love both corps... but Phantom is my favorite corps of all time.)

i love phantom and everything but i also want to see the bluecoats rise to the top. and for that to happen they have to beat phantom. sorry bro, it just has to happen.

as far as that statement about the drumline, i think that is absolutely rediculous. if by the end of the year it turns out im wrong then tell me i dont know anything about anything. i'll agree with you. BUT to say that without seeing other corps... seriously? no drumline has ever BLOWN OUT every other drumline in DCI. there have been some clear good ones. exp. SCV 2004. but every corps drumline are going to be a bunch of haases. i dont see what will make the cadets UNSTOPPABLE. -_-<_<

wasn't me that said it. it was the founder of the most active forum on the internet, and a person who doesn't care for changing drum corps... which means he must have a bias against The Cadets. (that was sort of a joke.)

I can't say anything about The Cadets because I have no seen the show. I have heard the full show on a myspace clip, and it was, in a word, amazing. And I don't like The Cadets.

and sure, it's essential for Bluecoats to beat Phantom... if they have intentions of winning. I'm just saying, that for this season, as well as everyother season, I'm cheering for Phantom.
