Xukaniz Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I know just flat out asking which was your favorite would make for a really hard decision, as I have so many of them, as I am sure the rest of you do haha. Here are some of my favorites 1. SCV 2000 - End of the Ballad 2. Cavies 02 - End of the Ballad 3. Phantom Regiment 89 - French Horn chord before the ballad, Chord resolution before the drum feature 4. Phantom Regiment 96 - Chord before the ballad, Chord progression during the final movement 5. Cavies 04 - End of the Ballad 6. Blue Devils 2000 - End of the Ballad Quote
actualgirltrombone Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 SCV 89- Huge chord right before the end, when the entire snare line tilts back. edit: well ok, its not so much a chord as a huge amazingly loud and in tune moment, but its still cool. On that note SCV 1992- BOTTLE DANCE Also, theres this video floating around of BD 2004 warming up, and the chords literally sing. Its insane. Quote
euro_euph06 Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Since I cant pinpoint exact chords that I want to I will give you some pieces that I like: 1) End of Madison '95---Malaga---Best End of a Show Ever. 2)I might be a little biased towards this one because I have played something similar in arrangment: Cavaliers '95 Jupiter. Awesome and Powerful. 3)Phantom 93---Fire of Eternal Glory 4) SCV '89--of course the big impact at the end!!! Pimpin it out lol! 5) Bluecoats '04--One Day I Quote

MartinHorn Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 2003 Harmonic Journey ending chord I guess, I guess I'll right all of them up later for now..... Quote Also, theres this video floating around of BD 2004 warming up, and the chords literally sing. Its insane. I love watching this warmup, it is epic. Quote
Claritone Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 The huge chord at the end of Phantom 96, right before the finale, and Star 91, when they form the cross. Quote
bluebellbrass07 Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Last chord of BD 03. That ones corpsgamic! The first hit if Phantom 96 when they go into the linear drill. Star 91's cross to cross. Phantom 03 when they go into the big triangle thingy. broke some of my speakers on that one SCV 04 about 2:30 into the intro when they standstill Quite a few in SCV 2000 and many more Quote

VRHSRangerTBone Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Angelus (Carolina Crown 2005) The first hit and all of the long loud notes are AWESOME! There are some other cool little moments throughout the rest of it, but I think the reason they got 7th and not higher last year was because of a lot of out of tune stuff (not counting the cool hits). I would have to say that Fire of Eternal Glory is the most amazing piece consisting of almost all power chords to ever exist. And I get to play it next year. WOOOOT! Quote

Actually they play really well and in-tune. The reason they did not do any better was for the fact that they have a drumline that needs ton of help and their visual program needs a little boost in creativity. Just a little. Another addition to the list of my favorites--- "Promise" from the Cadets 2000 show. Phenominal French Horn run. If you have never heard this...tack-hammer time. Quote
CHS King Mello Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 the most blended chord I have ever heard, in my life, is the end of the ballad of 02 Cavies. Not the biggest fan of that show, but holy cow. -C Quote
Claritone Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Yeah I'm gonna have to agree that Carolina Crown '05 has some awesome chords. Quote
