The Great Gatsby really isn't all the bad. It really does have a good story to it, but be sure you pay attention to all of the symbols used...especially characters. They symbolize parts of American society during the 1920s. I do admit, however, it seemed to drag at times.

Life of Pi is the best book I've ever had to read for high school. And Indian *hindu, not native american* gets shipwrecked and lands himself in a boat with a bengal tiger, and the two survive at sea for 277 days. It goes over what the boy does to survive, etc. Fantastic book, brings back my faith in the books selected by the english departments in america =p

the movie 'Life of Pi' is in preproduction right now.

 

should be interesting/cool. i want to read it before it comes out.

 

mostly just so i can say "the book was better, but the movie was pretty cool."

for some reason i though Shyamalan was directing it... but i check and he's not.

wasnt there like a marching show about divine comedy i think it was westwood 04 ehh it was ok it wasnt anything m-azing just a ok band marching a show

It rained here all evening then when it stoped it was humid as ####. Lol the cheerleaders (that are in the band) would not stop complaing! It was getting pretty annoying but oh well... they gotta get used to it.

Yup... cheerleaders. 2 in the trumpet section, and 2 flutes. There not bad all the time there just really winey. Nothings worse than winey cheerleaders. Lol.
