I agree, and the range of scores doesn’t really matter as rank is determined by the rank points added together

Trust me, I understand marching band and scoring much better than you do, bro. I've been at this for over 60 years and am trained and educated in this business. I can't explain to you what you don't have the capacity to learn. I'm sure that will not stop you arguing the point you are trying to make, though.

People make all sorts of choices. I think Marcus made the same decision except for a feature. I also think Reagan has some other sort of drum monted on the snare drums

Congratulations to the Area D representatives! 2 got into finals and the first 3 out were all area D. That is, all 5 bands are within top 17 in the state. I think that speaks to the competitivenes of this area. I believe we have more than 5 bands that can compete for finals spot at state. There are no filler bands when area D sends a representative to state.
