Ummmm that’s a great question lol, I literally read a post on it less than an hour ago and now it’s gone….IG we can use this one now unless it comes back

The competition is not getting delayed for rain, it will still happen tomorrow.

Yeah, using this one is definetly the best plan. So yeah the competition is happening tommorow. I really hope that the universe decides it likes our Area and just doesn't rain somehow. Fingers crossed that's the case.🤞

From what I've heard, they might just have a prelims competition and then that will be it with no finals but looking at the forecast, they could try to do a full competition with Prelims and Finals but idk what for sure is gonna happen yet.

Do band directors flag videos of their show from being on YouTube, or do people really not post marching band performances? I’ve been dying to watch Lebanon Trail, but can’t find them anywhere!

I just wanted to say good luck to everyone going tomorrow and that no matter what happens all the hard work your band has put in is worth it, whether you qualify for state or not. Hopefully we do not get rained on too much and have finals. I look forward to seeing everyone preform and I know everyone is going to do amazing!

I'm from LT and our directors have never shared our run links with anyone, even the students, they only just show us the video. I don't think there is going to be a public video anytime soon honestly.

So from everything I have learned over the past year, Most band programs are under a contract that doesn't allow footage of their show to be released to the public either because of the music used or because of the visuals within the show. Some programs don't allow footage because they don't want the potential of someone else copying them in some way. So it's mainly because of Copyright and contracts, but does sometime include other reasons. Hope this helps!

So, if they don't want someone copying them:

1. The shouldn't compete

2. Shouldn't perform at halftime

3. Only Practice in a closed facility

4. Perform behind closed curtains at regionals and area, then publicly reveal at State.

This copying thing is parent paranoia who think that marching band like football. Directors aren't going to change a show, a vision, that they have been developing for over 6 months to match some other director"s vision and strengths of the other director's group. Could it potentially happen at the lowest level of band competitions, yes.

Band Parent here - We are told we are not to share full runs on social. Finally at the end of the marching season it's fair game but nothing goes out during. 😊

I go to a 4a school going to state, I'm very glad argyle isn't in 4a anymore
