packwick Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 ugh Origins off of 6th by 0.2. so close!! Bowie had a stellar run, Marcus was very strong also. too bad the audio on Flo for SO is 2 seconds ahead of the visual. all the solo tosses were spoiled by the snap sound or lack thereof and audience reaction LOL. packwick Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 welp Fusion in 1st in IW after semis. wasn't even their best run. not at all surprising. stiiill not in love with the soundtrack but the designs in IW this yr are mostly..... yeah... my prediction from last yr for Fusion will prob be right. if not this year, then next unless POC has a banger. Rubisco Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 Beautiful show from our first Scholastic A Finalist, Corinth Holders. Right out the gate I'm like, "This is A Class?!" A Class on steroids! Look at them going into the ground and spinning. Look at the illusion toss! What?! So talented! I'm watching on multi-cam. I like seeing the expressions of the performers in Finals. Quote

Rubisco Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 Magical performance from Azle just now. The show reminds me of Miamisburg's from last year. Gorgeous floor, soundtrack, and choreo! Hard Core Band Fan 1 Quote

Origin Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Finals for SO is going to be so exciting. These scores are still so close. A 3-way tie for 3rd! Rubisco 1 Quote
LKendrick Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Grand Oaks was fantastic! Congrats on an amazing season. Same for Azle. Thought they both had one of their better runs in finals. Rubisco and Hard Core Band Fan 2 Quote
Rubisco Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 Grand Oaks just slayed! Individual achievement absolutely through the roof! Hard Core Band Fan 1 Quote
Origin Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Grand Oak’s level of confidence and cleanliness is truly incredible for an A class group. Like wow their technique is good. Rubisco 1 Quote
Rubisco Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 Congrats to Marcus, Westlake, and James Bowie for making Open Class Finals! 🥳 Marcus in a 3-way tie for 3rd and Westlake just a tiny fraction behind that cluster. That medal is up for grabs! Interesting to see Dobyns-Bennett's score increase from when I first looked at it. Transcription error? Anyway, their new score looks more like what I'd expect. Comfortably in finals as opposed to the last one in. Quote
Rubisco Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 Also congrats to our Independent Open Finalists! Menage, Glory, and Origins Open! 🥂 Menage is sitting in 3rd after semis! Quote
LKendrick Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 I have to say I adored Lexington. Incredibly tight and super unique show. I think I only saw one drop all weekend from them. Origin and Hard Core Band Fan 2 Quote

Hard Core Band Fan Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 The music at the beginning of Holly Springs' show reminded me of Aimachi's 2015 show. I was there that year and the screams of the girls in the audience was deafening! Quote
Origin Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Arlington was stellar. Easily secured the gold with that performance! Quote
LKendrick Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Arlington was phenomenal. Amazing run. Loved Lockport Townships show, super fresh take on vampires! And Amador Valley was beautiful. Holly Springs super emotional too. Great finish to finals. Parkwoodmom and Hard Core Band Fan 2 Quote
Origin Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 The depth of talent in SO finals was amazing. I’m so glad they didn’t promote any of these groups mid season and instead let them shine in open class. I think Ayala still takes it but I wouldn’t be mad to see Centerville sneak in there. As much as I would love to see Marcus medal, I think that American Fork made the best case for bronze. Rubisco 1 Quote
Popular Post J-Mike16 Posted April 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted April 13, 2024 I think this is the tightest SO Group of finalists that I've seen in quite a while. From top to bottom, they were all so good. Origin, Rubisco, Hard Core Band Fan and 1 other 4 Quote
Rubisco Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 I'm just now catching up. I agree that American Fork earned that bronze. Great show. Marcus, Westlake, and Bowie were of course awesome as always. Also, congrats to Menage on that bronze medal! Tubalord11 1 Quote
Rubisco Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 Absolutely gorgeous show from Center Grove! Such an incredible improvement over the past few years. Watching on multi, they didn't look like your typical 15th place group. Outstanding! Quote
