Tubalord11 Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 I'm in absolute shock right now.......HOLY MOLY PEARLAND!!! Musically, I'm in awe, what a sound. Visually, so clean. I'll write more tonight about them because I'm just in shock of what they just did, think they might be top half tonight, because if they have that level and clean of a performance, if not better, they're gonna have a special day, amazing job Perland, wow wow wow Quote
Chippy Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Is there a draw board for finals at this competition? Quote
jetliner Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Glad that I, a Houstonian, have seen the Houston-area program Waller at exactly two contests: Prosper and San Antonio. I really like that Hanson piece (Pearland, Mason 2022, Wakeland 2023), and I think Waller's taken a pretty good stab at it. Love when programs give themselves a challenge! It was a little shaky at Prosper and much improved today! Keep eyes out for this band as the area grows! Quote
Tubalord11 Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Very impressive stuff from Waller. They've got a very good sound, and have great volume for their size, great job ya'll! AWF2014 1 Quote

FwefewF Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 I've waited so long to see wood's show and it did not disappoint, it's just so fun yet we'll executed. Although, it was total Friendswoodcore. (Also if they had spelled "uwu" on the field I would've jumped off the stands.) AWF2014 and youraveragebandkid 2 Quote

Tubalord11 Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 CY-WOODS!!! Please let that be in finals because that show is awesome, not to mention they look and sound amazing!! Brass is so so strong, but also have so much dynamical control, and those WW's were so tight. Loved the Fox theme opening, and the sax quartet that followed was such a jam, the whole show was! If they don't make it they will be very close, but that show is loaded with GE, and that was just about as perfect of a run that they could have had, wonderful job Cy-Woods!! AWF2014 1 Quote
youraveragebandkid Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE Cy-Woods show!!! ESPECIALLY their music book! Holy crap!! Incredible and fun! Should definitely be in finals 😍 AWF2014 1 Quote
