Congrats to all of our finalist!! I will admit, Leander did surprise me, hopefully they are able to come back at Nats. I do wonder if they got a penalty from the delayed start, because that very well could have been what happened. Also, when was the last time Keller didn't make it? Congratulations again to everyone who competed yesterday and this morning/afternoon, tonight is going to be WILD!!

This is historic! 15 finalists for the first time ever, when he made that announcement I did not expect those names to get called, but super happy for them that they did!

Gotta feel for Leander, James Bowie, Keller, LD Bell, Westlake, Dripping Springs, and CTJ. I know they'll all have their break into finals in the near future.

BOA San Antonio is consistently the hardest marching contest in the country year after year. So many talented programs going above and beyond! Texas bands are on another level!

I feel for Southlake Carroll too. They had a great performance and I was sure they were going to be the 15th band.

All of these bands would most likely be National finalists this year. I feel very strongly Leander will still make it.

They will not be released until after finals results.

This isn't a UIL situation where those tend to leak. You're better off trying to find the nuclear codes than BOA prelims results before the end of the competition.

I'm excited for finals, but also bummed Wylie didn't advance. I really liked their show this year and thought it was a big step up from what they've done in the past.

It's going to be an exciting evening!

So sad that Cypress Woods didn’t make finals. When a 15th band was announced, I just knew it was them. Being in Panel 1 was a tough place to be for many bands. That show was something special, and they sounded so, so good. A crowd favorite for sure!

Southlake Carroll misses finals here with arguably their most competitive show in recent memory, after making Grand Nats finals and St. Louis finals in the last two years. Certainly nothing to be embarrassed about, just goes to show that breaking into the top 14 at this contest is a massive feat, made all the more impressive by Reagan’s 21st consecutive finals appearance.

And it’s any bands game any year. Keller is out for the first time since 2014. CTJ is out for the first time since 2009. Nobody is safe. You don’t get to San Antonio finals on accident.
