Tubalord11
Great performance from Cedar Park to get things rolling!! Love the visual design of this show so much, soloists were amazing as they have been all season, that trombone in the ballad is so pretty. Did hear a couple of minor music errors, mainly hangovers/players playing to loud which did stick out, but other than that a very good musical run. I do still think they have potential for top half at Nats, we saw what happened in 2016. Amazing job tonight Timberwolf band!! It must suck for McNeil to not make state for the first time because they were beat by two schools that have a long history of making state. I really liked their show this year and thought it was a big step up from what they've done in the past. It's going to be an exciting evening! I’m so sad for them, too. I really liked their show. We are always at every competition and game, even after our kids graduate. My daughter graduated in 2023. Myself and a lot of other Pearland graduate parents still attend everything and cheer them on. Plus the friends and families of the current band kids (425 kids in the band right now). Yeah, they have a very large fan base. 🥰 AWF2014 and Tubalord11

So, you are saying McNeil has never missed state but were beaten by two bands because they "have a long history of making state?" I'm confused....Does history matter in a contest or not? Are you invalidating some of McNeil's previous state appearances because they "have a long history of making state?" See the falacy in this arguement? lost
Music was harsh as for any first time BOA super finalist (Pearland 2019) but I can honestly say that I don’t think they were the fifteenth band in.
BandFan50
Honestly I can see either of the top 3 from prelims winning, finals will be a much different game justabandkid94
MelloMom1234
It would have been McNeils first appearance in State. Austin is a super strong area for bands, but that also makes it really competitive to qualify for state. So proud of McNeil! Tubalord11
WOW SEVEN LAKES!!!! That ensemble sound is just SO BIG, Holy Crap!! Yeah I honestly could see them not being the last in, because that performance was insanely good! I remember my friends and I being blown away by their volume, and I don’t know how they do it, but that brass is just pumping out some serious sound. Great work visually as well, percussion was also very clean, but my goodness 7L, amazing job tonight!! mendoza and BandMama82

Popular Post Tubalord11
Stellar performance from Cedar Ridge!!! They have really had such a huge comeback from last season, and it’s super clear that they weren’t happy with how it went. The visual GE in this show is insane, so much body work with them moving left to right, but they do it in so many different ways that it never becomes boring, and the pendulum’s they make in the drill are so cool. Never thought I’d hear wrecking ball as a ballad for a marching band, but their arrangement of it goes so well with the show, incredible musical run all around, fantastic job Raider Band!!
