I’ve seen CTJ do it in 2017 and their 2020 state run

i assume that you would have to ask your director and 9.9 times out of 10 your director would say no, the .1 is ctj

Coppell brining the HEAT tonight!! Lovely work from the brass in the opener, they are nailing that opener so consistently, really mature sounds. Trombone feature was so good, and that WW quartet, so clean! Visually such a well written show, again love the big curve form in the WW’s at the start of the ballad with the brass again playing so well, and now backfield. They’ve really come along way, and I’ve really enjoyed watching them today, amazing job Coppell!!

PEARLAND!!!! Yeah again another draw-dropping performance, by far my favorite use of Pines of Rome, and it’s not even close. Seeing this group rise up has just been extraordinary, but they are reaching new heights of success, and idk over who, but they could jump up tonight, though it’s still to early to tell. Musically I’m just blown away by their sound, woodwinds, ya’ll have my heart, so beautiful and those technical passages you make seem like a joke. Brass is playing so loud but never too much. And the visual package so is good, and they were much cleaner tonight, WOW WOW WOW, Outstanding job tonight Pearland!!!

Pearland looking good as always. Really liked the woodwinds in the middle part with the front ensemble. It was a fun little feature.

There are many very deserving bands who did not make finals today. This contest is extremely stacked. I can understand if fans from bands who didn't make finals are bitter.

Canton, 4A, who has had 4 State Championships, didnt even make state this year

they had consistent state appearances since 1996 (96, 98, 00, 02, 04, 06, 08, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23) and also consistent state finals appearances since 1998 (98, 00, 02, 04, 06, 08, 10, 12, 14, 18, 20, 21, 22, i believe) their state championships were 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2018.

Yeah but this was kind of a regression year for Canton. It showed at springtown when they went from 1st place last year to bottom 5 this year.
