Yeah but this was kind of a regression year for Canton. It showed at springtown when they went from 1st place last year to bottom 5 this year.

i think canton may have fell off a little bit, because they went from state champs in 2018, to state finalists from 2020-2022, and then 14th in state prelims (10 finalists) and then just not making state at all, i truly feel bad for them

Great run from Round Rock! Love the new uniforms a lot, and while I do miss the old ones, I like the modernness of the new ones. Really strong sounds from the brass, some difficult technical runs that they are nailing. Great work from the soloists throughout. I do wish they gave the Mello's a run in the end of the metropolis part, but seeing how they set up the ending I understand why they didn't. Visually very appealing as well, guard with some great work. Great job tonight Dragon Band!

The height of insecurity is being unable to appreciate brilliance in others because you are afraid it makes your accomplishments seem smaller.

The opposite is in fact true. The greater the obstacle, the more heroic the victory.

If I'm Hebron, or this "clarinet player", I'd rather beat a bunch of bands that are amazing asf than a bunch of bands that are lame asf.

Which one says more about the abilities of my band? Hmmm...?

canton broke a 16 state appearance streak this year

Yes they did but personally that should have happened last year. To make state from area b and not finals is kind of...unacceptable. I don't think Canton deserved to make state last year.

Totally, great points @MarchingMafia. As a veteran poster/lurker I should have known better to take the bait, but I have to say, it’s a bit disheartening that the anonymous callousness gets worse every year… and I was active on here when Marcus and Bell were Most  Wanted #1 and 2 lol.

Anyways, conversation for another day. Congrats to all the performers tonight, leave it all out there!!!
