Txpharmguy Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Congratulations to all the finalists on a job well done. A little bit of historical perspective: ten years ago in 2014, Vista Ridge was 12th with a score of 84.00. That score would been 34th in this years prelims. (I know, different judging panels, yada, yada, yada). However, it just shows how difficult this super regional has become. There are a lot of bands who have closed the gap over the years. Shoot, CTJ won with a 93.35 and that would have scored 8th in this year's final. Dallas Hobbs and TexasEx 2 Quote

SomeBandNerd Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Wow. After seeing Hebron and Flower Mound get so close all season long, Flower Mound pulls ahead with the victory. My favorite part of Flower Mound’s show has to be the closure when all of those colorful flags fill the field. I can’t wait to see them and some of these other programs at state on Monday! Bbowman615 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 They are gonna need to find another scoring category soon to help make it easier but overall can’t wait til we have more contest like this we could be having some new bands sneak into regional finals next couple of years like Sachse, lake Travis and some other bands,I’ve been watching Sachse and they have been moving up like crazy last couple of years can’t wait to see them more Quote
ItsThatOneGuy Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Flo Mo has been my personal favorite all season and I'm glad they won. But Hebron getting 8th from the visual ensemble judge is... well it sure is a choice. (Not that it was the whole difference between them.) I really thought Hebron would take BoA and Flo Mo would take state because of the scoring system differences. Quote
