Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Coppell-ORGANic: Awesome show Coppell!!! Brass was soooo clean in the opener, really big sounds! Really mature sounds all around. Guard was fantastic, really great use of the Organ prop by the one member and when they went under the log pros as threw their rifle, and caught it after going under, fantastic! Super pretty ballad, and that Trombone feature 😫😫 They are having another stellar season, awesome stuff Coppell!! Quote

Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Anna-Fantaise: great stuff Anna! Nice soloists all around, really good sounds from the WW’s. Trombone and saprano sax were great in the ballad, guard had an awesome showing! Some cleaning to do musically, but overall a great show from Anna! Quote
Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 argyle- a pictures worth: Wow Argyle!!! They really are motivated to make state and do well at nats this year, and they have a very strong chance!!! Lovely stuff from the Flute and Euphonium soloist into a massive opening hit!!! Huge brass sounds all around, amazing soloists, and massive shout out to that single tenor player in Perc, you were heard! Tons of visual GE, lots of picture sets throughout, just such a well designed and very well executed show. Definitely our AA champs, could see them surprise some people come results, amazing job Argyle!! BassoonSOLO5456 1 Quote

Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 5, 2024 Aledo- on the throttle: So ummm, I don’t think they were happy about not making state finals last season. Holy crap Aledo!!! Absolutely ridiculous sounds, people were on their feet after that opening statement. Love the use of the cars vrooming through, adds great GE, and great use of the props. Guard had an amazing run, soloists were incredible, but I’m just blown away by how clean they sound. And look! Those cover downs, soooo clean. They are definitely on the throttle this season, and could make a crazy statement at state this year, and very likely tonight. Amazing job Aledo!!! Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Keller- distant voices: Awesome performance Keller!! Definitely my favorite show of theirs post Covid and it’s not even complete! Amazing stuff from the Flute duet going into a strong yet controlled opening statement! Keller Brass, holy crap!! Love the dark music, definitely fits the dark purple/red of the props. Guard was amazing, great stuff from the trombone ensemble. Clusters of visual ge throughout with the members hearing the distant voices, brining their hands to their ears. I don’t understand theme yet, but they look and sound amazing, very interested to see where they place. Wonderful job big blue!! Quote
Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Lake Highlands- FESTE!: Great showing from LH’s! Musically very good sounds, great stuff from the WW small ensemble. Some tuning issues, but overall very good musically. Drill was pretty clean, love the choreography throughout, really neat staging of the drumline on the big stage. Theme is somewhat hard to follow, but still plenty to offer at times. They seem smaller than the last couple years, but regardless could make a run at state out of area c. Great job Lake Highlands!! Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Azle- through the keys: Great stuff from Azle!! They’ve still to that big sound! Great soloists into the opening hit, which is was powerful! Music selections go great with the theme, and plenty of visual with the staggered cover downs representing piano keys. Guard was amazing, really building off their greats indoor season. Lovely ballad, some cleaning to do in the closer, but they are looking to have another successful season. Great job Azle!! Quote

So happy they have the couple moments of narration to explain what the show is about bc I had no clue. Great music performance, couple stick-outs but overall very good. Great duet in the ballad, loved the the different features, and the bike was a super cool addition to add some GE. Great job Grapevine! lunareclipse18 1 Quote

Hornymchornface Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Did Wakeland get new uniforms? I genuinely can't Tell Quote
Tubalord11 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Wakeland-where the heart is: Classic Wakeland for yah!! Sounds amazing and looks soooo good! Feel bad for the oboe and bassoon soloists, unfortunate mic issues, but they still were great! Opening hit was so strong yet controlled, but man they are moving! Beautiful sax solo in the ballad, percussion was amazing, just an overall solid performance! A tad bit of dirt at the end, but they are still super strong, see you tonight Wakeland!!
