Coppell-ORGANic:

Awesome show Coppell!!! Brass was soooo clean in the opener, really big sounds! Really mature sounds all around. Guard was fantastic, really great use of the Organ prop by the one member and when they went under the log pros as threw their rifle, and caught it after going under, fantastic! Super pretty ballad, and that Trombone feature 😫😫 They are having another stellar season, awesome stuff Coppell!!

argyle- a pictures worth:

Wow Argyle!!! They really are motivated to make state and do well at nats this year, and they have a very strong chance!!! Lovely stuff from the Flute and Euphonium soloist into a massive opening hit!!! Huge brass sounds all around, amazing soloists, and massive shout out to that single tenor player in Perc, you were heard! Tons of visual GE, lots of picture sets throughout, just such a well designed and very well executed show. Definitely our AA champs, could see them surprise some people come results, amazing job Argyle!!

Keller- distant voices:

Awesome performance Keller!! Definitely my favorite show of theirs post Covid and it’s not even complete! Amazing stuff from the Flute duet going into a strong yet controlled opening statement! Keller Brass, holy crap!! Love the dark music, definitely fits the dark purple/ted of the props. Guard was amazing, great stuff from the trombone ensemble. Clusters of visual ge throughout with the members hearing the distant voices, brining their hands to their ears. I don’t understand theme yet, but they look and sound amazing, very interested to see where they place. Wonderful job big blue!!

Lake Highlands- FESTE!:

Great showing from LH’s! Musically very good sounds, great stuff from the WW small ensemble. Some tuning issues, but overall very good musically. Drink was pretty clean, love the choreography throughout, really neat staging of the drumline on the big stage. Theme is somewhat hard to follow, but still plenty to offer at times. They seem smaller than the last couple years, but regardless could make a run at state out of area c. Great job Lake Highlands!!

Azle- through the keys:

Great stuff from Azle!! They’ve still to that big sound! Great soloists into the opening hit, which is was powerful! Music selections go great with the theme, and plenty of visual with the staggered cover downs representing piano keys. Guard was amazing, really building off their greats indoor season. Lovely ballad, some cleaning to do in the closer, but they are looking to have another successful season. Great job Azle!!

great performance from Grapevine! So happy they have the couple moments of narration to explain what the show is about bc I had no clue. Great music performance, couple stick-outs but overall very good. Great duet in the ballad, loved the the different features, and the bike was a super cool addition to add some GE. Great job Grapevine!
