Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted September 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2024 Such a wonderful performance from Vista Ridge! Could definitely see them taking home music tonight after that amazing musical run, I mean they just sound so professional. Sucks they had all those prop issues today, but they didn't let that effect their run at all. Love the preshow so much, great visual ge there and I can't wait to see how they are come TMC. Great job Ranger band!! flute lord, Parkwoodmom, Band2021 and 3 others 6 Quote

Popular Post Dave609 Posted September 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2024 Cedar Ridge- I was truly blown away by the power from their opening statement. Their second movement music sounds really good and I love the balance the woodwinds and percussion had with the trombones. The use of Wrecking Ball in their show is unique since I don't think I have seen a band use it. Cedar Ridge is coming back with a vengeance this year and I am ready to see what they have in store. Congratulations to Cedar Ridge on advancing to finals! FaultLineBlues, utee94, Miyazuu and 3 others 6 Quote
Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted September 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2024 CEDAR FREAKING RIDGE!!! God the amount of Visual GE in this show is insane, sooo much!!! They did not take lightly what happened last season and are anything but messing around. Such a fun show with so many different features and soloists, all which were amazing. Really love what they do with the percussion in the opener. I'm sorry but I completely forgot they were going to Waco this year when I said Westlake could win, I'd be super surprised if CR doesn't take home gold, though we have ti see what MG Johnson is up to. Wonderful job Cedar Ridge!! chasehawkins, LeanderMomma, FaultLineBlues and 1 other 4 Quote

Popular Post TypicalBandNerd Posted September 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2024 Much improved show design from Cedar Ridge! I love how the band swings their arms and instruments back and forth as part of their choreography. I just find that SO effective. Their arrangement of wrecking ball is wonderful. I think this show is their ticket to get back into state. Amazing run Cedar Ridge! FaultLineBlues, LeanderMomma, Tubalord11 and 1 other 4 Quote

Tubalord11 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Here are my finals predictions: Vandegrift (sweep) Cedar Park Cedar Ridge Rouse Vista Ridge Westlake Leander Round Rock Lake Travis Hutto Westwood Klein Cain Gaps are groups that I feel are interchangeable. I think Vandy's got this in the bag, but there are plenty of other battles going on for placements. It's going to be TIGHT tonight! Quote
Popular Post MikeKyu Posted September 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2024 Hot take here: I can see Vandegrift not winning music tonight.
