I may be biased but I think you’re underrating Tomball their show this year is the best designed it has ever been.

Aren't these supposed to be a random draw? What are the chances that all of the heavyweights, minus CTJ (which still has an afternoon spot) and Pearland, would land in that last block?

I mean it is random, but we often see "stronger" programs going at later times. It's more likely that it is confirmation bias?

This is what I have now, might update later

Brazoswood 12
Friendswood 11
Foster 10
Clear Brook 9
Klein Oak (Interchangeable) 8
Seven Lakes (Interchangeable) 7
Dawson (Interchangeable) 6
CTJ 5
Bridgeland (Interchangeable) 4
Pearland (Interchangeable) 3
Cy-Fair (Interchangeable) 2
Ronald Reagan 1

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw clements over brazoswood after seeing them compete at area last year and clements placing higher than them.

I do wonder if Pearland or one of the other Houston bands gets their first regional win here.

Reagan heads into this as the default prediction for champion, given their success here over many years. That could easily happen -- their show is quite effective this year, lots of wit. But I'm also wondering if they're a bit more vulnerable than usual on the performance side of things. Their show is very challenging, and visual clarity is a major issue right now. Where will it be in a few weeks? I don't know.

I saw Bridgeland on TexanLive, sans audio, and think their visual program is a bit clearer than both Reagan's and Cy-Fair's right now. Music is an unknown.

Pearland is also an unknown. I haven't seen or heard anything from them. (They and Broken Arrow are the two left that I would really like to see.) Pearland is hot off of their first National finals appearance, and I'm hoping Wes gives them something special that could help them break into the upper half of late-season finals. They're capable of it!

I have seen Pearland, They’re playing all of The Pines of Rome.

The show is a general effect beast and will be their best one yet. I expect them to win here and make top half in San Antonio.

CyFair beating Pearland. Possible, but quite unlikely.

It happened last year in finals!

Granted, I have no idea how Pearland looks this season. I can confirm that Cy-Fair is at least around as good as last year, maybe even a little better.
