sb2024
All of the 6A bands in Region 3 got a 1. Superior rank seems to be normal for this region. Hard to believe that all 11 6A bands were superior. Apparently no one is Excellent or Average anymore. We'll sort it all out in the Area competition.
Popular Post BoneGuy4
So I counted 22 6A bands advancing to Area. That means 4 will be advancing to the state computation. MoBone, JFNDOWBFAN and Maxophone

Taako2027
RICHARDSON HIGH SCHOOL...that was a spectacular run. A thousand times better than anything else I've seen them do this season. That's a state band if they play their cards right. Bravo Mello10273

They all have advanced to Area C competition in Mesquite on 11/2. 10 will make finals and the top 4 from finals will advance to State competition. JFNDOWBFAN
My Region 3 Rankings Post Region 1. Rockwall OWB…not trying to show bias here i genuinely feel they are the strongest show at the moment). I love how their show has grown through the season. Peaking at right time. 2. Forney I need a Forney expert to help me here! I like their show but both times I’ve seen it, I wanted more. They have great sound. It just feels like they aren’t matching up with the energy the crowd wants to give back. 3. Sach- Disclaimer, probably the only band I have not seen first hand! Have seen a few clips, I know they have gone back and forth with Duncanville! Could they be 1-2? Maybe, but want to see live to make that call! 4. Garland- This may surprise some people. It just resonates with me. It’s clever, sounds great, visually pleasing! 5-8 Rockwall Heath, Royse City, Mesquite, North Forney- All 4 of these bands are solid 6A bands! They could go in 4 different orders and any of 4 could make an Area run at finals I think 9-10 Rowlette/Horn I’m torn on these two bands! Probably also the 2 I have see the least so maybe others can give me more insight…I have always enjoyed Horn shows before but they brought me in and made it memorable…I didn’t find the catch this time Either way, 1-10, can we all agree how spoiled we are to have these 10 hard working bands representing our districts? Band and guard kids are the best kids MoBone
bringthetreble
woah! I saw mesquite earlier at 5 and they definitely surprised me. Im usually a fan of their shows, but I really think they’ve improved from last year! I think that if they really locked in they could for sure be above 20 this year

I also heard forney as well as north forney. both schools from the same district with really strong shows this year. However… I think North was actually louder! Loved Forney’s clarinet solo btw… RIP to the couple of clarinets squeaking at north. MoBone

Band and guard kids are the best kids This area is going to be so interesting. I got to see Sachse for the first time tonight and if they can clean up some drill I think they'll have a better shot at the top 4. Was very impressed. Rockwall was very clean and sounded good. Forney sounded okay, not the power that we're used to seeing from them or from the size of that band. I honestly think it'll entirely depend on how the judges interpret things because theres no doubt waxahachie will make it but Rockwall and JJ Pearce have very clean productions that don't take too many risks while Forney and Sachse have larger productions that are riskier and will the judges credit them for that, only time will tell. November 2nd is going to be crazy! MoBone and JFNDOWBFAN

Mello10273
As someone new to area C as of this year, these are my current rankings 1/2 Forney/Waxahachie 3/4 Pearce or sasche (maybe d-vile I haven’t rlly seen their show) 4-7is pretty big toss up based off of how, D-vile (again I haven’t seen much of their show) , Rockwall, Richardson (based on what I’ve seen tonight they have grown a lot in the week since BOA Waco), and North forney do next Saturday, I could see many bands take this final state spot. Pearce could also end up here for sure. The reason why I’m not putting berkner so high, is 1, I haven’t really noticed any real growth this season, like yeah of course they made state last year in area B but that doesn’t guarantee them a spot, and 2, I honestly don’t know where they are at since they haven’t had comps in weeks. Though again they could, and emphasis on could, do great at area, it all comes down to how everyone’s runs go FatMexican69
