UIL 5A Area F 2024

Recommended Posts

I meannn  burleson centinnial beat richland by 2 points…cville beat burleson centinnial twice in prelims and finals at the birdville marching festival… fossil ridge and birdville are neck and neck… and fossil ridge didnt make finals at birdville marching festival… and at mansfield preview of champions cville barely beat midlothian and lost to them in prelims by less than .3 points… nobody knows what azle is gonna pull off here. So based off of that realistically aledo is prob winning then followed with cville then burleson centinnial then richland and idk why everyone is counting out midlothian. Either way this competition is a must watch, gonna be a dog fight again for state

At birdville yesterday Chisholm trail had a really strong run as we beat fossil ridge and Mansfield who dominated at don Hanna where the beat birdville and fossil ridge if we clean up visually which our director has been really pushing for the past week I feel like we could have a good shot

Chisholm trail being in the mix of birdville/fossil ridge/grapevine is totally fair, all the finalists from 6-10 spots are gonna be close i just have a emphasis on midlothian being quite impressive this season. Good luck Chisholm Trail! I’ll probably see if i can change my predictions after next week’s competition results though😄

I dont understand why Azle does so much better in BOA than uil area…

As a band member from Azle, I can tell you. We work really hard starting in early July and that translates to us doing well in BOA, but we get to area and get really excited and try harder and just mess everything up. Although, we lost our 5 best players and marchers last year (2023) due to some unsavory issues. However, this year we are not having that same problems as years prior of being overexcited and I believe we are going to do great this year.

Newman Smith beat Cleburne, Joshua, and Brewer this past weekend at Birdville. Coming from a member of the band, we have actually started gain some confidence. We knew that Birdville was a very hard competition but to still beat some noticable bands from Area F was a success.

Do you by any chance have a full recap? There's for sure gonna be a huge shake up this week. And also, Colleyville beat Centennial and then Paschal beat Burleson at USBands. Definitely gonna take some time for me to fully digest this weekend.

I do not have a prelims recap, only finals. Things that I have heard tho, Chisholm Trail placed 13th at Birdville beating fossil ridge. Another thing was that Saginaw ended up placing 18th in prelims.

I mostly agree with this list, but I think I'd push up Azle, Grapevine, and Midlothian above Joshua. Azle and Grapevine both beat Lovejoy at Bedford, who Joshua placed right behind at Birdville. Midlothian was also right next to Colleyville at Preview of Champions, so I think they place a little closer to the top.

I agree, I have Grapevine and Azle both beating Chisholm trail right now. Still not certain though if azle is above grapevine even though they did beat grapevine at boa prosper. But Grapevine getting 10th is definitely gonna be a suprise they’re definitely contending for top 8 at the very least. I also think midlothian is just better than Birdville and Grapevine and azle this year, midlothian will definitely make finals at area this year and contest for top 6.

Aledo was at state too, so was cen10, and basically everyone predicted to do well no one’s really glazing Aledo it’s just a prediction based off of what happened last year

Aledo has an amazing show this year. Literal chills when they perform, I wouldn’t doubt top 5 at state…
