Didn't know what to expect from Fossil Ridge.  Hadn't seen them this year.  They showed some power and had a nice soprano sax soloist.  Overall really nice show.  Congratulations on making Area Finals. Respect!

Chisholm Trail with a statement of their own!!! They came out swinging and ready for a fight. Too bad about the microphone issues.  Way to just go with it, soloist.  Great show!! Congratulations on making Area Finals.  Respect!

Richland just took the field and said "NOT SO FAST"!!  If you want a spot to state, you have to go through us first.  Strong opening and cool visuals with the vibrating strings. Metallica marching band needs to be a thing for sure.  That was much better than the last time I saw you perform. Congratulations on making Area Finals. Respect. See you at State!!

Midlothian making a claim for top 5!!  Great sound and loved the sax solo.  Groovy!! Colorguard looked great.  Congratulations on making Area Finals.  Respect.

Don't call it a comeback!!  Aledo doing Aledo things after missing out on State Finals last year.  Powerful, crisp, and fun to watch.  Hate to say it, but likely your Area F Champion 🏆.  Though....  I think they left the door open just a crack for an upset.

Centennial doesn't have the power of Aledo and Richland,  but their Battery and Front Ensemble were 💯🔥🔥🔥. Awesome music and the band really shined in part 3.  Way to bring it home Mellos.  Comfortably in the Top 3.  Congratulations on making Area Finals.  See you at State.  Respect.

Colleyville Heritage with a strong opener and solid hits/choreography.  Beautiful Colorguard during the ballad.  Interesting show overall but not one of my favorites.  Congratulations on making Area Finals.  See you at State. Respect.

I have to say that after watching all of the bands, the results shocked me. I thought Azle would have been much higher. I thought the top three would have been Aledo, BC, and Richland. The bands were all really good tonight but I will be very interested to see the score sheets. The placements were wild.

Watched the five top bands.  Not going to add any commentary as I think it would probably come across as negative.  I'll just say that the judges' order is what I had predicted and can't find much fault with the placement.

Will just say that I'm blown away with what Midlothian did this year.  That band is fantastic and came a long way this year.  (I say this as someone with zero connection to Midlothian.)

a huge congrats to all the state qualifiers!!!!! im ngl, i was kinda gobsmacked that centennial didn't place higher, but maybe that's just cause i wasn't able to see aledo's show or Midlothian heritage. or maybe it's the how to train your dragon bias, lmao

 

again, huge congrats to my fellow area finalists and to the state qualifiers!!!!!! be proud of yourselves yall!!!!!!
