sax5warrior Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 very nice performances from those 10 made my night be a little bit happier just a little Quote
Xdesolatedude04X Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 the competition today was awesome, by far some great musicianship today. I give huge props to Plano East especially, mainly because they sounded utterly amazing when i heard them. Overall, thanks Newman smith for hosting it, and congrats to everyone who participated! Xenon Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Hebron playing DDR on the field. (The left-front is doing "up" and the left-back and right are doing "left") The guy on the right with his legs further apart than the others was doing the standard Up-Left-Down-Right-repeat combination really fast. Quote
itsstephenyo Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Actually, I don't know for sure, but I think different sections of the band does different combinations. During warm up, they were rehearsing the DDR section and the beginning of it has a really awesome hemiola effect to it that kinda gets lost in the stands. As for the second half of it, I'm not sure. You (Xenon) could very well be right. Quote
specialclunker Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 yeah, hebron. It's about time that you get some light. Quote
Sicemb Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Everyone did a great job all day long getting ready for such an early competition. A special congrats to Centennial H.S. from Frisco for making their first finals. Quote
Warfact Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Haha, I think I saw behind you Xenon for about 5-10 minutes because I saw someone with the TxBands.com shirt and a notebook with short reviews written down. So it was probably you, unless I am wrong. Quote
bumbythebeach Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 anyone completely SHOCKED by the results? i was. Quote
