Popular Post RhythmicTuba Posted October 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 22, 2024 Anyone else getting tired of people making predictions without even seeing the show they're predicting for? I'm seeing it a lot on this thread and am just confused as to why people think it's gonna be a worthwhile prediction if they're just basing it off of previous years. Emerson is good but not 4/5th good. Reedy should be up higher too. Just feedback❤️ Agreed man these are not the most accurate imo Quote

It is but also sometimes it’s hard to find some of these shows like reedy. I entered my prediction based of only what I heard because I haven’t been able to find a video of them Quote
Popular Post marchingband2 Posted October 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 22, 2024 I am a reedy student. Make sure to watch us at 1 pm. We will be great. Go reedy. Reedystudent123, bassclarinetplayer, tennertrumbow and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Their show is very entertaining but I don't fully understand the concept. They used their train props from last year but reworked them, making them neon and very colorful. Their music is very fun but I definitely enjoyed last year's show more. I do see them improving in technique this year, however, I don't see them making finals. Quote

Yeah if it was last year then that can be acceptable but like previous years before that I can't understand that but I mean I have watched some shows in this area but idk. Quote
BassoonSOLO5456 Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Looks like Reedystudent123 and marchingband2 have different opinions of their own band. euphkin and bassclarinetplayer 2 Quote
notenthused1 Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 predictions: ( I actually watched all the shows except for the colony) 1st: wakeland 2nd: lone star 3rd: argyle 4th: lebanon trail 5th: McKinney north 6th: Walnut Grove/Reedy 7th: Reedy/Walnut Grove 8th: Memorial/Emerson 9th: Emerson/Memorial 10th: The Colony? not sure about them yet but wouldnt be surprised if they were also in the 6-9 range too many good bands in this area! all these bands would probably be state finalists in any other area lmao *anybody from 5-10 is pretty interchangeable and I feel like smaller schools like memorial and grove definitely have the possibility to move up Quote

Saw them at Wylie and their individual marching was ok but wow was the music amazing. I saw them again at the region, and I think they cleaned up well and could possibly be 3rd and make school history this year. Somewhat musically on par with Lone Star if I do say so myself. They still go a week to work their way up some more. I third this statement. When I was at the Golden Triangle Marching Contest, I got a chance to see Reedy's marching show, and it was really amazing! euphkin 1 Quote
bassclarinetplayer Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 I have somewhat of a prediction of the top 5 bands that I think in this area that will go state (in my opinion from seeing some performances and my thinking about it, so please don't roast me for this list) But my list is this (also, some of these shows I have not seen, I'm just going from this from what I think) 1. Walnut Grove (since they advanced to state last year in 5A, I think they may do it again) 2. Argyle 3. Reedy 4. Wakeland and 5. Emerson stinkymonkey, tubaplayer12, LisbethMom and 2 others 1 1 3 Quote
