Popular Post Saxtastic45 Posted October 21, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 21, 2024 I’ve seen videos of everyone. The hard thing is that all these bands have grown so much. Im sticking with Celina as the number 1 spot. I’m going out on a limb and saying Farmersville number 2. I keep going back and forth on this one because I see more potential in other shows for development but they were better than North Lamar at Celina. I actually think Canton is going come up and grab number 3. They looked so good at Princeton. I bet the music has come a long ways since then Sulphur and North Lamar are hard for me to say which one is “better” SS should be cleaner but NL has a hard show that was incomplete at region a week ago. I don’t think either of them beats Farmersville or Celina. Maybe Canton but probably not. Van Alstyne is my 6 spot choice. Very good band with a solid show. I think PT is too far away to get in this mix. Maybe Paris, Lumberton, Bridge City. Bray, GarbagePatchKid and Colbylamb 1 2 Quote
Popular Post J-Mike16 Posted October 21, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 21, 2024 Finally able to share videos of Lumberton. Their run at Regional was by far the cleanest yet in the season and the cleaning process is starting to make itself known in the show. I still do think visually needs some more cleaning and I have a feeling the ending is not the final product of the show, just yet. 😉 Predictions (For now at least) 1st - Sulphur Springs 2nd - Celina 3rd - Canton 4th - North Lamar 5th - Lumberton 6th - Farmersville 7th - Paris 8th - Pine Tree 9th - Bridge City 10th - Sunnyvale 11th - Pleasant Grove 12th - Little Cypress-Mauriceville First Out: Van Alstyne Tubaplaya2011, KimR0328 and bandisfun2000 3 Quote

Atssbsax1 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 My predictions 1. Sulphur Springs 2. Farmersville 3. Celina 4. Lumberton 5. North Lamar 6. Canton 7. Van Alstyne 8. Community 9. París 10. Sunnyvale Other 2 I don't I haven't watched that many bands. I do think Celina is going to drop a lot of spots due to their show being a 1a level difficulty. Their show is really easy and boring and sulphur springs is pretty clean imo. However, I haven't watched theur show recently so they might have changed something dramatically that I don't know of. Now I have a feeling Farmersville will be second either behind Sulphur Springs or Celina but not third and behind both. I'm not sure why canton and North lamar are being predicted so far up when Farmersville beat North lamar at Celina recently both prelims and finals. Also, Farmersville beat Alvarado again both prelims and finals and Alvarado beat Canton much more recently both prelims and finals. I understand these programs have a really competitive history but not this year. This year these programs look like a shadow of their pastselves. We'll see other bands ahead of them like Farmersville and Lumberton. Maybe even Van Alstyne since they seem to be pretty close to North Lamar. GarbagePatchKid 1 Quote

Celina’s show is incredibly challenging. Some of the hardest music I’ve heard all year. I haven’t seen their full show yet as they didn’t march all the sets at Princeton or Melissa. I’m sure the remaining drill and choreo is plenty challenging. Both North Lamar and Canton have gone through some changes in the past decade with long-time directors leaving and/or retiring. I really do not think Canton will place very high but I have lots of hope for North Lamar. I know nothing about Lumberton other than what I saw last year at state. Quote

Canton actually produced my favorite 4a show of all time siren's fury. That show was amazing what a bummer Argyle was still there because that would've won. Yes their senior class marched that show but if you watch canton their sound is not what it used to be. They have people sticking out left and right and a lot of phrasing issues. Could they somehow close the gap maybe but I have not seen it this year. Maybe they got a wakeup and are pushing thus last week. I would love to be proven wrong because I really like those bands and have really enjoyed their past shows like sirens fury and enso it goes. Instead of coming at me watch the bands I placed ahead of them without bias. Farmersville has the hardest show in 4a this year except obviously panther creek. And yes canton and north lamar are in no way performing like they have in recent years. Expand This maybe off topic but do you know if there is anywhere to watch sirens fury? I really liked that show but can't find it anywhere. Quote
