I'm curious about the love Lake Dallas and FW Southwest are getting. I have not seen their show, but they placed near the bottom of their respective areas last year so I'm curious if people have seen their show and they are much improved or if they are getting the benefit of the doubt because they dropped from 5A. I'm genuinely curious, not hating on either one.

I mean, that's a respectable opinion that you are curious about Lake Dallas, and it is a working improvement, that's all I can at least say

Southwest’s show is Entangled and is executed really well. I saw them before Godley performed at Region 30. I believe they could make Finals with ease. I saw Alvarado’s show this year as well, it’s entitled Metal and is really good. They should make Finals. Venus’s show is good, but in my opinion, compared to last year, this one is too simple, but has a uniqueness that others don’t have as it’s entitled Saddle Up. Benbrook has a Christmas/Wintery theme show and could be executed better and needed more work as it’s entitled Frosted. Our show[Godley] is entitled Upon Reflection and has some things that need work, we have the third mvnt to finish cleaning. I’d like to see us make Finals, but our time slot will make it tough. Brock’s show, for them to be a first year 4A, is based on The Lion King and they’re executed it really well, I could also see them making Finals. I haven’t seen Springtown’s show yet. Kennedale’s show could go either way, Castleberry has a wonderful show, I could see them in Finals. I’ve seen Aubrey’s show and I could see them make Finals. Lake Dallas, with their show and a drop from 5A to 4A, I could see make Finals. Krum, there should be no excuse to why they shouldn’t make Finals and Panther Creek should win this Area with China Spring in 2nd.

We’re talking about IF they both get rained out. A standstill could happen. I was asking what day would that be if that were to happen.

What bands do you think are advancing to state in top 5 I have no doubt china springs and panther creek are making it but I’m curious to see who will take the last 3 spots.

I would say maybe Aubrey, Bridgeport, and either Lake Dallas/Alvarado

I have no opinions on Gatesville, not because I don't like the band, I just haven't seen their show, so once I do see their show, I will give my opinion on it.

No matter what we have to have Area done by Monday. It could just be delayed as late as possible. It will have to be done by Monday though.

4A Area C has already switched to an indoor competition on Saturday, that’s why I was bringing it up. 4A Areas A and E have their inclement weather days on Tuesday, Election Day.

Yep. I think it was a similar situation - the original date and makeup date were both forecasted to be rained out, so the higher ups proactively moved the contest to an indoor facility.

tbh, these new area changed and there only being 5 bands going to state makes this so much more intresting, because last year people in area d aren't having 12 area finalists and 6 state appearances, its now 10 area finalists and 5 state appearances, and panther creek taking the 1st spot guaranteed (china spring not mentioned because i feel like some people may rise to their level), making it only 4, this 99% makes the predictions for this area very hard because you don't know what to expect, especially with 2 WEEKS of show cleaning, we may have some tough competition setting panther creek aside, theres also a possibility that bands may end up beating panther creek, but thats just a small chance.

i've also seen some people place kennedale above bands who beat them in area d last year? which just doesnt make sense to me, same with brock, who just came from 3A, glad that they are doing this good, but i don't think they are beating long time 4A's.

i wish everyone good luck in performing on saturday!

me too, if it does, i hope the judges give us some type of credit for marching in the rain, because the ground is slippery, instruments may mess up, props might mess up, etc.

i meant i didnt say how china spring has a guaranteed spot because some bands may rise up to their level, sorry for confusion

Definitely I feel that is with any band! No one is guaranteed  a spot this year! Which is so cool to see
