The Katy Marching Festival is scheduled for October 12, 2024, at Legacy Stadium.

Yep,I want to see how they do against good bands at this comp.

They’ll do just fine, just stuck in a little bit of a stalemate where they’re not necessarily digressing, but not improving drastically. Hope it can change.

 I Want them to have a jump like some of these other bands are having.

I think like Ranch or Jordan.Jordan got 10th in 2022 but got 6th one spot from state last year. Ranch got 14th in 2022 but 10th in 2023.

I see, excited to see what those bands do this upcoming season, Jordan in particular is fighting for that state spot.

True I loved Jordan’s show last year, I was surprised cy ranch made finals last year

It was a neat surprise, Jordan’s always got that energy IMO. Absolutely love it. JV didn’t have their best run so I knew we were gonna see some sort’ve surprise. Katy Marching Festival will give us a good look at some of the bands and give us an idea of what to expect.

Most likely was, I’m not too sure about what their program holds for next year but I wish them luck. Katy ISD invitational should be nice, Jordan/tompkins/seven lakes could win.

Seven lakes has been a good program for some years and I think they take a step towards state finals this year.

It appears that Jordan is attending Lonestar Preview too. (same day as the katy contest) It's going to be a hard decision if they make finals at both the Katy Contest and Lonestar Preview, unless they decide to drop Lonestar Preview.

How would that work, do they perform at one contest then go to the other?

yes, that how we exactly did it in 2021, but there were no finals at the katy contest during that time.

Whichever they drop if they attend both will allow for an unexpected band to get to compete at a finals event so that’s neat. Although if I were Jordan, I’d most likely drop the Katy Contest.

it could be risk because Jordan has a possibility of beating 7L and maybe winning. Without a doubt, Jordan probably wants to beat some highly competitive bands at Lonestar Preview, such as Clear Brook, Bridgeland, Cy-Fair, Pearland, and others.

I could see Jordan beating 7L to win the Katy contest, definitely clear brook but I Cy-Fair and Bridgeland are bands they are going to need to have leaps and bounds over to beat. Some bands at Lonestar preview that will make finals Jordan will beat for sure. But if they’re aiming to beat out 3 state finalists then they must be planning something huge.
