I wonder if we’ll see some movement soon… Edinburg North is having an amazing season! I’m glad to see they’re back at the top. City of Palms is this weekend.. Let’s see some predictions! downsideup Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 These are the results I found for last night, and these are the 6A bands that competed: 1. Edinburg 2. Weslaco 3. Hanna 4. Harlingen 5. PSJA 6. Los Fresnos 7. United 8. Veterans Memorial 11. San Benito 13. United South 14. La Joya 21. LBJ 24. Economedes Quote
jd1231 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Wow! definitely love the Weslaco come up. They always put on a show. I wonder if Edinburg and Edinburg North will closely duke it out at Area. Sad to see United at 7th, it would be unfortunate not to see them at Area since I love the theme of their show. Area G finalists always put on a great competition! This year sure is cut-throat! Quote

It was definitely a very tough field for anyone to make finals. Only 6-7 were sure things the rest were fighting for spots. Quote

Expand True, but if I remember correctly, if just one of the 6A schools don't get a 1, then there will only be 14 schools participating. I could be wrong tho!! (someone fact check me) Quote
downsideup Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 There are 15 bands in the area total. Because United South got a 2, that brings the number down to 14 (so far). Every 5 bands counts as 1 band advancing to state. Therefore, 2 bands will advance to state from this area. Quote
