Thank you for the updates! I’ve heard rumors that United wasn’t that far off from Alexander in terms of scoring.. I wonder if we’ll see some movement soon… Edinburg North is having an amazing season! I’m glad to see they’re back at the top.

City of Palms is this weekend.. Let’s see some predictions! Anyone got a full schedule?

Wow! definitely love the Weslaco come up. They always put on a show. I wonder if Edinburg and Edinburg North will closely duke it out at Area. Sad to see United at 7th, it would be unfortunate not to see them at Area since I love the theme of their show. Area G finalists always put on a great competition! This year sure is cut-throat!

Toughest contest other than BOA San Antonio in terms of finals bands. It was definitely a very tough field for anyone to make finals. Only 6-7 were sure things the rest were fighting for spots.

For sure. I'm just happy to have south texas represent at one of the biggest marching comps in texas!

Agreed! It was great to see that representation! It would be nice to see more of the valley bands of come up to these competitions. Although, it’s understandable that the expense is tough.

Missing all the valley bands.

True, but if I remember correctly, if just one of the 6A schools don't get a 1, then there will only be 14 schools participating. I could be wrong tho!! (someone fact check me)

There are 15 bands in the area total. Because United South got a 2, that brings the number down to 14 (so far). Every 5 bands counts as 1 band advancing to state.

Therefore, 2 bands will advance to state from this area.
