Not super familiar with US Bands stuff but this lineup definitely caught my attention.

Yes, US Bands is introducing a World Class, and it seems this is a sort of test run. Regardless, it will be very interesting to see how this comp shakes out, first time having all these heavy hitters at US Bands!!

oooh, BOA, gurl, USBands is coming 4 u!! lol

i like that they have separate judges for perc and color guard, tho not sure they're actually included in the overall score. also looks like they sometimes do double panels. (ya see that, BOA??)

im still adamant that the best system would be the 40-30-30 one used by DCI, just replace "brass" with "winds." also double the effect panels for major events.

This is very interesting. Coincidentally my band from home is going to another USBand Event in Alabama. Hoping they livestream this event cause I'd love to see Hebron's performance before I board my flight to San Antonio that week.

I definitely like how USBands is adding a contest for the best of the best in the state. It would be really cool if this contest was LOADED with talent in all of Texas, instead of just DFW area bands. This could potentially be BOA SA's competitor in the future.

It is REALLY nice to have a BOA SA level finalists with a competition in DFW, hopefully, this becomes BOA SA for the DFW bands that can't justify doing a 5.5-hour drive before SMBC, or for bands who arent consistent with state qualifying (area J and B having prime candidates)

ANDDDDD, because I love watching great bands in late season, don't often have an opportunity to go to SA, I'm probably gonna have to add this one to the calendar haha

Yes. Still struggling with far too little information about how to handle Volunteers. They provide instructions for spectators and the band itself, but nothing in between.

We use a massive parent crew for loading/unloading, Pit, and Props.

duncanville, WHAT A SHOW!!!! after area last night i was so excited to see it and i was definitely not disappointed!! so aesthetically pleasing, great guard and a sound that blew me away. also the mashup of come together and royals was so genius omg wonderful job
