Sucks that only 1 of the 9 competing won’t make finals. I’d say Pearce is probably the favorite to win, could also see Lake highlands taking it asl well. Lat spot will be between MacAruthur and Newman Smith.

Early predictions as of right now:

1. Little Elm

2. Lake Highlands

3. JJ Pearce

 

4. Panther Creek

5. Plano West

 

6. Guyer

7. Princeton

Separated into spots that I believe could be interchangeable. Any of the top 3 have a good shot at the top spot and Guyer/Princeton can easily be swapped as well. I think that LE will get the Percussion caption and Lake Highlands will get visual; with the other captions I think will likely go to whoever wins the contest. 

Panther Creek wins 4A prelims, Newman Smith wins 5A, and any of the top 3 win 6A.

I think Plano Easts show is called the Persistence Of Time.   Does anyone know what musical selection are in it?   I will probably head up to PEMI for the finals, but was just curious!

I used to be a Plano East Mom too (not just Plano Senior), so was just curious!

I thought that was the case when they only had 8 slots in finals but 9 bands. Looks like they would have finished in the top 4 if they had been there!

I thought it was a very good show visually, and the chords were pretty well balanced for a high school band. I was def surprised that they had gotten 3rd.

Not surprised to see their guard took 1st!  LEHS has an incredible color guard!

Also, could we get a color guard caption in BOA some day please and thank you?
