Bummer that we are not going to see some bands at Uil SMBC who had a shot at making finals, it is probably harder to make state in this area then it is to make finals at state, are we gonna see all 5 bands from this area in finals??? That would be so cool yeah, this area is no joke. Case in point. McNeil just finished 4th in last night's BOA St Louis Super Regional...which will probably be a better finish for them than at this year's Area D competition sadly. Also, Timber Creek (who McNeil beat at last night competition) will probably advance to state for the third year in a row this year...even though McNeil will probably not. And in neither of Timber Creek's two previous trips to state did Timber Creek beat any Area D competitors those years. This area is insane. Tubalord11
Final predictions for this bloodbath of an area: 1st. Ronald Reagan 2nd. Cedar Ridge 3rd. Round Rock 4th. James Bowie/Dripping Springs/Mcneil/CTJ 5th. DS/CTJ/JB/McNeil 6th. CTJ/JB/McNeil/DS 7th. Mcneil/CTJ/DS/JB 8th. Westwood/MG Johnson 9th. MG Johnson/Westwood 10th. Winston Churchill I honestly think this is the hardest Area to predict how it's going to go. TBH, all 10 of these programs are state worthy, and other than Reagan in first, I think 2nd-5th is up for grabs. So many of these programs are having their best seasons ever, with those going to state coming down to who has the stronger runs come finals. Best of luck to all these programs, gonna be a heck of a battle for state!
quenslays
final predictions 1st-Ronald Reagan (obv) 2nd-Cedar Ridge/Dripping Springs 3rd-Dripping Springs/Cedar Ridge 4th-James Bowie/Round Rock 5th-Round Rock/Bowie/Mcneil Honestly I could see all area d groups that qualify for state getting into state finals. Karma_Savior
1. Reagan 2. Cedar Ridge 3. Round Rock 4. Dripping Springs 5. Bowie/McNeil 6. McNeil/Bowie 7. CTJ 8. Westwood 9. MG Johnson 10. Churchill
Miyazuu
UIL can be so...unpredictable sometimes that I don't even think I could assume placements. It could be a complete toss up. At best I could expect Reagan, CR, Bowie, aaand RR? At 5th it's just gonna be a matter of finals runs. I'd loooove to see McNeil advance to state. They're working so hard and seeing them do so well this season has been exciting. Perhaps they can slip into that 5th slot? It's gonna be a long Saturday, thank goodness for the Buccees on the way. Popular Post rouseglazer1
ok i havent done my predictions because this area is just so incredibly unpredictable but here we go 1. ronald reagan 2. cedar ridge 3. dripping springs 4. round rock 5. bowie 6. ctj 7. mcneil 8. westwood 9. mg johnson 10. churchill i hope to get proven wrong here i want to see mcneil make state!! utee94, Miyazuu and quenslays
fluteatute
1) Reagan 2) Cedar Ridge 3) Bowie 4) Round Rock 5) CTJ/McNeil/DS -- Bowie/RR placement I'm unsure of just since it's been awhile since RR competed but they were next to one another at TMC Finals. I'm looking forward to seeing Reagan! I'm a little surprised at DS over Bowie both in UIL & BOA SA predictions since Bowie has continuously scored higher since BOA SM. Perhaps UILs judging will give way to DS to rank higher since GE isn't involved, they seem to be doing well musically given their won captions. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain!! 67% according to weather channel right now 😖

lost
RR is always a slow burn but I think we’re at a point in the season where I have them contending for second. Tubalord11

qwertytb12
Top 8 in my opinion are locked but the movement inside I'm willing to bet that nobody in this forum gets 100% right. I also don't think CTJ has a shot but we will see AshTru9
