However if they calculate after prelims that they will not able to fit all the finalist bands in by midnight, they will treat prelim results as finals results. And in neither of Timber Creek's two previous trips to state did Timber Creek beat any Area D competitors those years. This area is insane. As predicted, for the third year in a row, Timber Creek advanced to state last night and McNeil did not. I also predict that for the third year in a row, Timber Creek will not beat an Area D participant at state prelims. And frankly, I'd be surprised if any Area B participant outside of Coppell beats an Area D participant. I'll also add that given how tight the scores were for 6th-9th place that all four of those bands would do extremely well at state prelims and beat every non-Coppell Area B participant. Bowie's placement drop is unfortunate but McNeil, Westwood, and MGJ did have solid finals runs. I hoped to see some movement of top/bottom half but top 5 generally held steady give or take a few things during their respective runs. This time last year we would've already had our 6A state results so I wonder how much 3 days of rehearsal + BOASA will change how Area D does against each other in state. bchorn 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
