Channelview Marching Festival (October 12th 2024)

Still waiting in the full schedule release on the website.

I have a schedule, but I rather wait until channelview releases theirs in order to see if there's any last minute changes.

I have not seen any schedule yet. My directors said they got one, but have not shared it with me yet. 

It's making it hard for me to give information to my parents and get them to sign up to volunteer.

With Pasadena Memorial and Clear Falls going head to head, both coming off first place results last saturday!

Pasadena Memorial performing early In prelims, giving the advantage to Clear Falls.

Both bands are really gonna have to clean clean this week, to get the edge on eachother!

Don't leave out bands like Barbers Hill, Porter, Dobie, La Porte, Deer Park. They are most likely going to compete for the battle of third, but who knows somebody could sneak into second!

I believe New Caney is going to be in there as well. Get ya popcorn ready cause they’re going to make people on wheelchairs stand up. Anybody that doesn’t have New Caney on their radar is going to regret it.

I hope Galena park has a good chance that having to to state since 09 and if they get a second chance in final it could help with it slot idk I just wanna see gp go to state

When my kids have finished their band era, I think it would be neat to go to different contest across the state and just watch contest all day and make predictions 😂

Not sure, but they said they made a tabulation error when listing the corrected schedule just before finals. heard that Galena Park got 10th in prelims but because of the announcement they decided to have all 11 bands peform

5: Porter 

All I remember 

But WOW BARBERS HILL lost to Pasadena Memorial twice in a row and clutched up. EVEN more surprising Clear Falls who got first in prelims ALL THE WAY TO THIRD. Pasadena Memorial with a strong performance to beat Clear Falls. Though Barbers Hill was on something else tonight, or the judges are going crazy, I need recaps which we won't get 😭

What is the Scott judge seeing that others don’t???

I'm unclear on the benefits here of using raw scores (1000 pts) instead of ordinals/ranks. And the equal or almost equal raw point values of percussion and guard with music and visual. Thoughts?
