If I had to make a prediction for who I think will be winning state for 4A, I would have to say that it would be Celina. Their show was absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed it! If I had to pick a close second, it would have to be China Spring.

My finals prediction and end results for the top 5 (in my opinion, please don't judge it at all)

1. Celina
2. China Spring
3. Panther Creek
4. Aubrey
5. Farmersville

Everyone has an opinion. And everyone gets to judge when you put that opinion out. 
 

I don’t disagree with your top 3. I think 4 and 5 is not right. I’ve never heard of Aubrey and Farmersville is good but there are at least 2 bands that I have seen that are better.

which bands over Farmersville and Aubrey? I personally don't agree with Aubrey being fourth, tbh I don't think they'll make past the top 10, but I'd say Panther Creek first and China Spring second, then I'd put Sulphur in third with Celina in fourth. I do predict Farmersville in fifth, but if not I think they'll definitely be top 10. I don't really see any other bands being top 5 though

So Farmersville is going to leap frog past Sulphur Springs,  Bridge City, & North Lamar that are also from Area C (and all 3 of those beat them in both the prelim and finals round)?  I haven't seen Aubrey to have an opinion on them. No Davenport either? I think Farmersville does have a chance of getting into finals, but am definitely wondering about those ranks...

I think Farmersville is great. I just don’t think they are better than NL. I am an alumni and I will admit my bias.  Then you have Bridge City. The video of Davenport was impressive as well. 
I don’t think that China Springs is as good as Celina and they beat Panther Creek at area. Sulphur is good they could be up there to. I put my picks on the predictions up if you wanna look.

I had not even seen the predictions section. I have a few videos still to watch today and then I'll enter mine so I can see the others.

As others have said, your 4th and 5th are a bit out there. I think Aubrey will struggle to make finals although I think Farmersville has a shot. Their chances would be better if there were 12 advancing to finals. Since we only have 10, it’s going to be tight.  I think the top four will be a Celina-CS-PC-SS battle. It could go any way but that order is my best guess.

I see Farmersville potentially being top 5 as well. They march really good and play really good. They just have to get their music as good as their marching. If they cleaned more than the bands that beat them they will score higher if they weren't able to close the gap the won't. It's just a matter of who cleaned the most after area.

Normally you would be correct. Farmersville has never been better than North Lamar but not this year. It was shown when they went to Celina. Farmersville had a pretty bad run at Royce City but came back and swept them at Celina. I also am confident that if North Lamar showed up to Mineola they would comfortably taken and 2nd place. Not sure how they were place ahead of Farmersville at area.

Farmersville's show is definitely way more exciting than the NL show. I wish NL had more volume for the Latin tunes.

That was one contest more than a month ago. And NL beat them at Royce city with an unfinished show that same day. Now that NL has a show that’s done and they are cleaning it. I think the game has changed. No disrespect to Farmersville. I think they are finalists this year for sure

Our family thought Farmersville would have beat North Lamar in Finals, BUT, we are also not trained judges. However, in Finals round their was only a difference of 2 points between them in 4th & 5th place. That amount is something that could potentially flip-flop from one round to the next.  North Lamar does have a possible advantage with having years of experience at State. The Alamodome is like a strange cave. Adrenaline levels are going to be high & experience helps.

Correct. A month ago contest isn't an accurate thing of what will happen after four weeks but that same day Farmersville beat them twice very comfortably but yes a lot can change after 4 weeks of heavy cleaning. I just don't think North Lamar was able to close the gap. I compared their shows and marching wisdom it's no competition. Farmersville is much better visually. Then the music which is where North Lamar somehow beat them I think Farmersville still has the edge. Their double tonguing feature is an example. It took me a while to find the part where North Lamar does it and that should say something, but Farmersville just had a much better feature that was crisp fast and has some dynamics to it which is hard to do. We will see how they compare at state in a few days time.

Oh nice! When was that? Any of Farmersville's current marchers?

UIL... They really need to rotate the schedule to take turns in which areas play 1st. Area C two years ago and this year again doesn't seem right. NL playing 1st and at 9 a.m. is definitely a disadvantage.

No that was 7 years ago when they got 2nd place at the 3a level so no one going this year has experienced the Alamodome. They do have somewhat of an indoor so that may help with having an idea of what it will sound like but still no where close to the acoustics in the actual dome.

I'm not hating on north lamar I'm just expressing my opinion about them this year. I have already stated that I have enjoyed watching their shows a lot like enso it goes. Their a talented band but this year like Canton they are not performing at their usual level. If you want to take that like I am hating on them go ahead but that's no where near my intentions.

Bridge City sort of came out of nowhere at area. Their placement surprised me. Honestly, their color scheme was very similar to Sulphur’s and the two shows blurred together in my head a little bit. I had to go back and watch a video to even remember what they did.
