Bridge City sort of came out of nowhere at area. Their placement surprised me. Honestly, their color scheme was very similar to Sulphur’s and the two shows blurred together in my head a little bit. I had to go back and watch a video to even remember what they did. 

They're still being briefed over even after area so I'm excited to see how they perform. Rn my mind is still thinking they had a lucky run, but tbh they could turn some heads possibly.

I would almost say that too but they did it in prelims AND finals. It even rained during their prelims performance!

I don’t disagree with your top 3. I think 4 and 5 is not right. I’ve never heard of Aubrey and Farmersville is good but there are at least 2 bands that I have seen that are better.

No one is hating on North Lamar. They are doing great and I'm quite shocked you're taking the comments of then as hate. You yourself said everyone has an opinion and it should be respected. That alone there shows where you yourself stand. Respect the opinions of others and don't call their opinions hate. No one here is calling your opinion a hate on Farmersville so don't do the same to them. I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but it's extremely demeaning to other voicing their opinions when they respect your posts but you don't reciprocate. I don't want to or mean to be harsh, but if you are going to tell other to be respectful, least you can do is listen to your own advice. Good luck to you and hopefully all bands do great and meat their goals at state.

it's hard to tell, their marching and visual was far behind some bands imo, but their music was sounding great. I'm not sure they should've gotten top 3, but who knows. If they can clean their marching, they definitely earned their spot in top 5 imo

What else are people supposed to use to support their predictions. The melissa showcase? 🤣 Please. Area is the most recent so that will be used to gauge where bands sit. That's all

I don’t have a problem with that. I think everyone should be proud of all the success they had this year. But stop bashing people’s show because you think your show is harder or whatever. Or you won at a contest back in a month ago.

My finals prediction and end results for the top 5 (in my opinion, please don't judge it at all)

Call me crazy but I think other bands like Sulphur Springs, Bridge City can Lumberton could potentially beat Farmersville and Aubrey, I think top ten will potentially be 

 

1. Sulphur Springs

2. Celina

3. Davenport

4. China Springs

5. Panther Creek

6. Lumberton

7. Bridge City

8. North Lamar/ Farmersville

9. North Lamar/ Farmersville

10. I really don’t know who to put here, lots of great bands

 

All the bands who will be at state are all very talented, with some bands having somewhat worse reps at area than region. I hope the best for all bands performing at state this year and can’t wait to watch it!

putting panther creek and china spring below the podium is honestly crazy to me, china spring has an amazing show with a very clean brass section, so they have to be top 3 this year

I couldn't find Calallen video anywhere. Randall and Canyon are saved to a playlist to watch tonight. Those 3 have definitely been strong bands to watch for.

They don’t HAVE to be top 3. The fight for the podium is going to be a battle. They have the potential to be but so do a lot of other bands.

Well I’ve heard amazing things about Davenport’s band and marched in Area C and witnessed Celina and Sulphur Springs in person, Celina can be good and really clean they just need it to be a good rep and sulphur has good and clean features from woodwinds and clean transitions from woodwinds to brass, in the end it’s just my genuine opinion.

this is the problem with 4A, it's just like BOA San Antonio where there's a bunch of really good groups that are going to get left out because there isn't enough finals slots, there's sooo many deserving bands, like look at this list and tell me that all of them aren't deserving of a finals slot

that's 13 bands that I think deserve a slot in finals yet there's only 10, state is going to be tough for this class this year, i cannot wait to see the results of this this week

Yeah Randall did in 2022 I remember talking to some of their members at retreat and they were talking about how they really wanted to beat Canyon. I believe they got 9th or 10th and Canyon got 6th.

I definitely think if we slip up we won't podium, really tight competition this year, and top 4, even top 5 is a toss up for how well you perform that day, however I will say CS has had a trend the past 4 years of of doing better each finals appearance than the last, I would hate for them to break it. So based of that logic, we are going to medal LOL.

Do y’all think Canyon, Randall, and/or Fredericksburg have a shot of making finals?
